A friend lost her sister and as you know, it's always a challenge to figure out what to send - especially if you want the person to have something after the flowers have long perished. I thought this lantern would be good, but discovered it was great! I didn't want to just send a candle with a message because let's face it at, after it burns out, it would be discarded. To me the lantern solved that problem since I thought the recipient could replace the candle. (I thought this because I had not noticed something delightful). Imagine my delight and concern when my friend explained clearing a shelf inside of a display cabinet just for the lantern! I was delighted because it was clearly precious to her (she even sent a picture), but I worried that a lighted candle inside of a cabinet could be hazardous. That's when I realized the candle was battery operated. But it looks so real. So I am totally happy with this purchase.

I have bought a few of these in memory of family and friends who have passed and given them to their loved ones. They are always so much appreciated.

Liked it however back glass was broken. Ordered replacement. Received replacement quickly and very happy with it.

The glass is not in them good. The glass kept falling into the middle at the funeral. I was very embarrassed. Will never order from this company again for any occasion. Money wasted. I didn't want to ask the for it back at funeral to return it. They said they would try to glue glass in. But I told them to toss it, and I would find another one.
