USMilitaryStuff Memorial Flag Case - Cherry Finish - for American Veteran 5' x 9.5' Burial Flag

I purchased this for a friend whose husband passed and she didn't have anything to display his flag. She was so happy to have this to honor her husband and his service. I highly recommend this product.

I purchased this flag frame from US Military Stuff in 2008. Selecting a frame with integrity was important to me because it holds the flag from the funeral of an important person. I am pleased with my selection and purchase of this frame.Pros:* The frame received is exactly as pictured.* Wood is a lovely medium cherry wood tone, not too light and not too dark.* The frame holds a standard military issue US flag, the flag that was removed from the casket and presented to us at the funeral.* The frame supports the flag just so, and I have noticed no sagging or issues. It was easy to place the flag inside the frame, as well.* The wood of the frame is a rich quality, sturdy and resistant to damage and nicks.* The front glass is thick, sturdy and resistant to damage or breaks. The glass does not reflect too much light, so I can see the flag without a lot of noise.* The backing is a sturdy board, held in with several turn button closures. The spacing of button closures is sufficient enough to hold the backing securely in place. I've removed and replace the backing at least 20 times with no issues or damage to the board. Button closures have remained nicely taught, as well.* The frame can be used as a tabletop or shelf display, or you can use the saw-tooth mount to hang the frame on a wall. I have always displayed my frame on a shelf, and cannot attest to the stability or security of a wall mount. Because of the weight of the frame and flag, I would recommend using heavy duty mounts to affix to a wall.* The balance of the frame is great. I have not had any experiences with it accidentally tipping over.* Shipping box and bubble wrap was top notch. I've re-used the packaging for house moves, and have retained the packaging for future moves. If you plan to retain packaging, please note the frame is already a pretty big size (5 x 9 x 5). The packaging adds about 3/4 inch on each of the 3 sides. So it will take up some space!Cons:* It is another thing to dust, but it is worth it.* I've had no negative experiences with this frame.Additional notes: I've also been able to insert a couple of other dear family items and memorabilia in the frame, by tucking them just inside the back of the flag. It did not compromise the fit or integrity of the frame or backing. In 2008, materials I received indicated that this frame was made in the US. I do not know if that has changed.

I really loved my case, especially for the reason I needed it for. My case came just the way I wanted & when I needed it, cherry wood. It is heavy for its size and well put together. I loved that my flag fitted just as it was folded. My case back fit snug with the flag on the inside. I did not try to hang the case even though the hardware came with the case, I want to display it in my wall unit. The quality of the workmanship is smooth and sharp. The corners are on point, the paint job, smooth, there are no streaks on the workmanship. Well worth the price. I was not influenced to leave a positive report by the seller, even though it came reasonably in price. It looks very good no matter where I place it in my home. I hope there are no questions but if there is ask I will give you an honest to goodness answer.

I did considerable shopping looking for a flag case that I knew would need to last generations. I found it. The build quality was superb, the mitred joints flawless, and the easy access from the back I really like. I have another case that is hinged on the front with about a 1/8" gap that allows dust to settle on the flag. I'll be buying another one of these as a replacement.Additionally, the packaging was fully sufficient as the case arrived at my house undamaged. I used the same packaging to send the case with flag to a relative in another state and it arrived intact with no damage there also. I highly recommend.

My husband's flag is in this but the back hinges are rusted now and it's hard to dust due to all the little corners. Wouldn't really recommend it to anyone and when I can I'm going to but something better. The coloring is chipping off and dust gets inside of it also. It doesn't hang well because it can't handle the weight of the flag on the part to hang it with.

This came packed well, looks nice. Kind of a tight squeeze, but the flag fit. My only complaint is that mine is either missing the hanger, (there are tiny holes for one), or it does not come with one, which is even worse. It's kind of an odd size, now I have to try and find a hangar that fits right into those holes, then bang it into the frame. Be sure to check before you squeeze your flag in or you will risk breaking the glass. I actually tried to take one star off for this because it's a bother now, and I am not taking the flag back out. For a few pennies they could sent it ready to hang.

When purchasing such a product you want something that looks good and isn't made cheap. Remember what it is holding, it needs to be respectable. This product fits the bill. Sturdy. The back opens to place the flag and there are MANY swivel locks that holds it tight. An optional bracket is included that you can attach to the back if you want to mount it on the wall. Holes for this are indicated and partially started for you on the back so it is easy to install. Highly recommended. It holds my Father's Flag and I am satisfied - I can't say more than that.
