Strong, well-made, heavy-duty awesome pot!
I am so very glad that I ordered this wonderful pot! I was hesitant because of the weight of it, but quality material combined with strength is not like a lot of the cheap junk I've bought before. The inside is white ceramic that's super smooth and the pot is a shape & size I haven’t used in a very long time -- it's more narrow but taller than I'm used to, and I love it! Boiling liquids didn't need to be watched and the glass lid fits snugly and doesn't have a "blowhole" which I'm super pleased about. Obviously, I'm not a professional chef, and don't know the actual names of things, lol. I'm a busy worker who cooks when I have time and motivation -- it's not a lifestyle for me. So I know what works best for me and makes my cooking and cleanup easier. This great pot does both. The very first thing I cooked in it was pizza sauce (thicker and heavier than spaghetti sauce) because I wanted to see if the tomato would stain the inside. After boiling it for almost an hour, the inside cleaned up perfectly with no discoloration at all. Then I boiled eggs in it, and was seriously surprised at how large around the bottom is. I had seven eggs inside on the bottom and there was plenty of room for several more. I boiled them, turned off the heat and the pot held the heat inside very well for quite a while.I love that I can fit a lot in here, boil it and not have it overflow like my last pot frequently did, being wider and shorter. Despite the bit of extra weight, this is an eminently practical cooking pot that heats up quickly and evenly and holds quite a bit. I think it's tall enough to use my hand blender without a big splash all over the kitchen -- awesome! I'm looking forward to a long and happy cooking life with this great Kitchen Aid pot.By the way, the matte black outside looks great, but I really don't expect that to remain for too long as they often end up with marks and hard water spots. Luckily I don't care about looks -- I care about function and usefulness. However it looks on the outside, the inside is where it counts. Any significant changes after regular use will be updated here.Another by the way, this is a perfect buy for those who only use one or two pots in their cooking, especially for dorms or studio Apts. Use it for frying for just one or two people/servings. This can handle several needs and it's nonstick for fast, easy cleaning for us lazy folks!!

Handsome, Durable & Dependable
KitchenAid brand products never let me down. This is a handsome, well-made piece of cookware that goes great with either contemporary or traditional kitchen decor. It's taller and narrower than my other 3-quart pot and has some weight to it. Really like the look. And I love the forged bottom for well-distributed heat and especially the white ceramic non-stick coating inside the pot. It's such a nice stark contrast to the black outside (if you choose the black) and it does the job.The pot comes with a tempered glass lid, which a lot of cookware comes with these days. My collection of glass lids is really piling up. The handle gets hot, so use a potholder when removing it. And there's no small steam hole in it, which most of my other glass lids have, so it'll really hold in all that hot steam. The handle on the pot itself gets a little hot as well, just FYI. Some of my other pots and pans have handles that look very similar but remain cool, so that was a little disappointing. As long as you remain aware of it, though, it's no biggie. After making spaghetti sauce in this pot, I was afraid it would stain the white-white ceramic coating -- but, happily, it didn't! It came out quickly and easily with dish soap and a sponge, so I'm very pleased about that. All in all, it's a very nice, dependable, attractive sauce pan to add to your collection.

Substantial pan, easy to clean
I got this to go with the larger saute pan and I am glad I did. The pan is attractive and easy to clean. It heats evenly, as does the large saute pan. The ceramic coating also extends to the rim of the pan, making for an easily cleaned surface that does not get ugly over time. The handle stays cool while cooking and the size is just right. Not too small or too large like some of the pans that come in sets of pots.

Cookware Sauce Pan
You can't really ever go wrong with KitchenAid. This nonstick ceramic sauce pan is just everything you could want in cookware. It has GREAT heat distribution, it's easy to clean, and it's a perfect weight so it's not too heavy or too light. I can't recommend this product enough, especially if you're in the kitchen a lot.

Nice Looking, Functions Well
KitchenAid has not failed me yet. It’s a brand I trust to offer consistently good quality at a fair price point and this pan is no exception.I’ve only used it to hard boil some eggs, so this review is really based on first impressions, but so far so good! The only reason that I took one star off of my rating is because the handle of the lid does get quite hot. It’s one of those that you will probably want to use a towel or oven mitt to grab, which I am not a huge fan of. I’ve used plenty of other cookware that is designed in such a way that you can grab the handle with your bare hands, and that is definitely the kind of saucepan lid that I prefer.

All-around non-stick with a surprise inside
I've owned other KitchenAid pots and pans before, and from the outside this looks very similar. However, the inside uses a white ceramic layer which is totally different from the others in my kitchen. The company claims this ceramic doesn't have any of the bad chemical stuff you might be worried about, but we're still asked to use only wood, silicon or similar type of non-scratching spoons. In actual operation, the pot works as well as can be expected. The size of my pot (3-qt) allows cooking for a family of four without going overboard or having too little. It's easy to clean and can be used in the oven up to 500F. Looks like it will last us quite a while, so the verdict is a "recommended".
