I was looking for a cocktail dress and fell into this one and glad I did! I'm 5'3" about 165 and this fit perfectly. The tie feature helps hide tummy issues. It was hot the day I wore it but I was very comfortable. The color was beautiful and I got so many compliments. The top is a wee bit sheer so make sure to wear a nude colored bra. I did learn that you can't commit a crime in this dress b/c some sequins fell off. I dropped it off for dry cleaning so we'll see how it held up.

I never wear sequins, or off-the-shoulder styles for that matter, but I’d had a hard time finding something to wear to my cousin’s wedding and thought this was super fun, so stepped out of my comfort zone and took a chance on the dark purple (I think it’s called purple-black). I ordered the XXL (I’m 5’5 and wear a size 18 usually) and it fit perfectly. At the wedding, not just members of my family, but complete strangers (both men and women, including two of the bar tenders!) would stop me (while I was in line for the bathroom, or in the midst of posing for a group photo, waiting to get to the buffet, and even while grooving on the dance floor) to tell me how amazing I looked and what an awesome dress it was. I felt like a million bucks before I even got to the wedding, so hearing others thought it was as fantastic as I felt in it just confirmed my own feelings. I don’t think I’ve ever received so many compliments.Other notes: some reviews mention the sequins snagging on things: while I can see how they might be an issue, I didn’t experience that. I did wear my hair up to prevent my hair getting wrapped around some of them. But I didn’t have any issues with the dress being damaged in other ways; I caught one of my rings and a bracelet on the dress a couple of times but the dress wasn’t harmed at all. It’s not heavy and was easy to move around in. The side zipper is hard to find, but does help getting the dress on/off.For whatever reason, Amazon isn’t letting me post a second photo, but the sequins had a fun iridescence to them that reflected the light in really cool ways. Seriously, if you are on the fence, buy it!

I just received this little number and it's so pretty. The fit is perfect for a curvy gal with larger arms. Hides all the right spots. The stretch material moves with you. I am 5"3 and the dress hits just above my knee. I ordered the black silver color, but have the Rose Red on order hoping it's not to see through. I trusted the measurements on the size chart and went with a large when I normally wear XL. The Large fits perfectly-- now just to decide which color to wear for an upcoming event. This is perfect for formal event or fun night out. My only concern is if the sequins will be an issue sitting for a long period. It seems to be well made and is a great value.

I thought I might be able to wear this for a fancy-ish banquet I had to attend. But it was a bit much in person. The sequins were actually sewn pretty well--I didn't notice any coming off or loose strings, even though it came folded in the package. But it was also a bit scratchy with all the sequins. The fit was really good and it was flattering (I usually wear L or XL). My biggest hesitation there was that I didn't have appropriate undergarments to wear the one shoulder off/one on. Something to consider if you're considering this style.

I received so many compliments on this dress. You will need to be careful not to snag the material but that is to be expected with sequins. There is an inner liner so the material isn’t scratching on your skin. Another plus for me is that I am completely flat on top after my experience with breast cancer and this dress still looked great and made me feel confident.

I’m 5’8, 150lbs, athletic build. This dress is perfect for a night out. The style and black sequins are on point. Flattering fit, tie waist that hides my mom pooch and a slight sleeve to make you feel comfortable with the off the shoulder side. Not scratchy at all but the sequins do seem to snag easily.

This dress is perfect for ANY age and special occasions. Has a classy sexiness feel. True to size even though this dress is dressy. Nicely lined so fabric doesn't itch. I purchased the silver for my 60th birthday. Not one sequence is missing... Zipper can be a little tough to zip. It's tucked in so perfect makes it difficult.Now I need another color...

I sing with a jazz band and this was the perfect dress for performance at a gala this week! I have gotten SO many compliments on the style and the colored sequins. Flattering fit with the tie waist and a bit of a sleeve. I normally wear a size 10 which I think falls under M for this dress but I sized up to a L and it was perfect. Had a feeling it would run small. You have to take care not to snag the sequins; they want to catch when your arm is down at your sides. Only negative I can report. Otherwise a great buy that looks like you spent way more $
