Ok, for the money
It's a strong bag and for the money it does the job. The small issues are the spreader isn't very accurate as far as the opening for different seed, and once you get toward the bottom of your seed, you have to constantly tip it back and forth while you're cranking the handle. If you don't do larger or a few food plots, big yards this does the job. If you do more than one plot over an acre it tends to waste a lot of seed or doesn't broadcast very evenly. But it is easier than a 3lb hand spreader. I'll upgrade to one of the red ones when this starts to fail.

Nice
This is a nice size seeder. It worked well for my field peas and wheat. I was easy to use. Easy to set the seed and spread range. Its comfortable to wear. I would recommend.

Seed,speader
It worked good for about 5 minutes then it was hard to turn then the gears started slipping. I sent it back.

Works pretty god and can spread a lot of seed.
This works well when you need to spread a lot of seed fast. The only downside I found was the cotter pin attachment for the spreading wheel. It drops down to far and makes a clicking sound due to it not always engaging the top gear on the cranking handle. I think a small washer would fix this.

Seems Great For Lawn Fertilizer or Seeds!
I am a new homeowner - and this Spring will be the first Spring I haven't been renting. The previous owner of our home didn't do much to take care of the lawn... and as such, it has lots of weeds and is spotty in places. As a result, I ordered this to hopefully disperse seeds in those patchy areas as well as fertilize my lawn.I haven't yet had the chance to use this on my lawn as my lawn is currently covered in 5 inches of snow - but I was able to finish putting it together, test how it feels without being loaded up, and then also load it up with some grass seed I bought pre-emptively for the upcoming season and test it with the impeller ejecting seeds into a five-gallon bucket. Overall, I really like it. Setup includes installing three items: the handle, the impeller locking pin and a shield that sits just behind the impeller and blocks things ejecting back at the user. Installing these three things was really easy. The handle fits nicely and feels secure. I did initially have some wobbliness with the impeller that resulted in some clicking while in use - but after rotating the impeller and the locking pin 180 degrees, that went away completely. The shield was easy to install - but I did notice that the screw that locks it in place goes directly into plastic, so I would recommend that it is never removed after installing it as to prevent loosening over time.Functionally, this thing seems to work great. The storage bag on top is large and should fit more seed or fertilizer than you probably want (it was comfortable for me with about 13 lbs of seeds, getting increasingly more uncomfortable with more seed than that). The impeller works great and I fully expect it to disperse seeds evenly based on my testing.Overall, this is an excellent seed/fertilizer spreading bag. It seems well-built, functions great, and should last for a long time. As a result, I can certainly recommend it.

Save your money
Absolute junk, the crank is attached by a thin piece of metal and it broke on maybe my third time using it.

First Arrived Incomplete... Second Unit Perfect
For the occasional user or person that has a few planting to make happen..... this is an excellent spreader. The first one arrived less the handle and was exchanged for a second. The replacement unit went together easily and works exactly as I had hoped for. Adjusting it correctly is a trial and error issue.... as was expected. Once set up....... it got the job done. With that said.......... I would not buy this for professional use. it is too light duty and a better version is not that much more money.

Thanks Reviewer Reminding Me "put it on zero"/Impeller Not Installed/"Slopped Floor" Accurate
Impeller and pin were laying loose in the box.I first thought "slopped floor" was a clerical error but now think "slopped" is better, at least at the front. There was a lot left in the bag and I had to keep shaking it to feed it. Opened it up and found out why. The front isn't (or is) "slopped", trapping much of the contents.Wear tight fitting shoes or risk filling them up. I got a lot of product on me and some in my pockets.About a third of the way through a 10 pound bag the spreader started making noise as if something was hitting something it shouldn't be. I checked the handle and everything on the bottom and inside and have concluded it must be something with the internal gear that I will have to investigate further. Maybe just needs grease? Maybe product getting inside?I think maybe this spreader would be better suited for the hard type round fertilizer pellets, maybe grass seeds. I used insecticide granules and distribution was inconsistent. I had to keep going from low to full throttle sometimes getting a little, sometimes a lot, and other times nothing. Fertilizer beads and grass seed might flow better.Much better than a hand held spreader.
