if yer a numbskull like me, this is the one to buy... a lot of the other ones i looked at on Youtube seemed much harder to figure out how to use, this one (at least for myself), was more self explanatory.i have never used a tent tensioner ever, so this was new to me.... the very first time i used them camping, it was pretty simple to do (just watch a Youtube on it first).they are easy to use, fit tight / does what its suppose to do.

I used this with Zing-it 2.2mm line. Two issues: the holes drilled in these often have burrs that catch in the line. I have the MSR guy lines that these rings are modelled after and I rigged them just like those were. Initially, they held tight, but in a little wind, the guylines started to loosen. I just couldn't get them to hold tight enough. I ended up tossing these metal parts and just tying a taut-line hitch. Normally hitches have 2 loops on one side, but with slippery Zing-It, try using three. It holds great!

I set these up this weekend using some paracord to strap down my greenhouse. Paracord fit through the holes just fine and they make tension adjustments on the tie downs super quick and easy. Bright red color helps them be visible.

these would not hold under any tension on the 2.5 mm cord that I wanted to use them with. they Would hold on some 3 mm cord I tried until the load got a little heavy.Update: I tried drilling another hole in the ring opposite from the middle of two of the existing holes. i then threaded my 2.5 mm cord through the two existing holes and then into the new hole and tied a knot. This put more of a kink in the cord and holds very well. To bad they were not made that way.

1/4 of the price of MSR, very lightweight and function great.

These things things work so well! and they are easy to grab and adjust. if needed, i'd buy them again.
