Handy Benders
Nice tool to have. I used them for bending over the tabs on a sheet metal roof cap. Just the right size to have if you’re standing on a ladder. I’m sure I’ll find other uses. But I bought this tool with a specific use in mind. It makes a nice straight line brake. The tool is ruggedly made and well worth the money. The grips help give you just the right amount of leverage for braking sheet metal.

Pads have grip
Seem just as durable as malcos. Haven't really had a chance to use them yet though.

Easy to use
Needed to repair an AC rooftop chase cover and wanted a simple way to bend some aluminum sheeting. These worked great and saved having to find a brake or hire someone to do the repair.

nice hand seamer BUTT.....
i bought the 3" version also which is fine BUTT.... 6" came open / un-locked when i tried to close & lock found out why they just threw them in the box, the locking lever is too long and will not seat up against the nut. So i guess i get to take it apart & grind it down, no real big thing but why ship it out when you obviously know they don't close.... other than you make $5 a day in a china factory & could care less.

Worked OK for my limited needs
I don't do a lot of work with sheet metal, but I do occasionally need to fabricate a heat sink for a power supply, and wanted a tool to help with making sharper bends.=== The Good Stuff ===* There is not a great deal of precision required for my application, and no one but me really notices how sharp and neat my corners are. Keeping those conditions in mind, the tool was very capable of bending sheet metal into the shapes I wanted.* The bender is a fairly hefty tool, and while I am only light gauge sheets, I had every confidence that the workpiece would bend, not the tool.=== The Not-So-Good Stuff ===* If you dislike tools with rough machined edges, lots of slop, and being a bit fussy to adjust, you will probably not be happy with this bender. The quality of my 90 degree bends was nothing like I have seen done with a dedicated break, so plan accordingly.* While the tool was comfortable in my hand, the locking mechanism was more of a pain than a feature. A little adjustment made is better behaved, but it seemed as if it will always be problematic.=== Summary ===I do sheet metal work only occasionally, and don't really have high expectations for the quality of fabrication. For me, the tool is fine, and a big improvement over bending it with a 2x4 over a table edge. If you are looking for finer quality of work, you might not be happy with this tool.

Works well for simple flashing
I ordered these for those times I need to make some aluminum flashing to protect the house when I need to install things that make holes in it. For small jobs, like dryer vents, these work great for that purpose. You can quickly bend standard aluminum flashing into the right shape to keep water out from under board siding. Works smoothly, comfortable to hold, well built. It's six inches, so it's not a full sheet-metal brake, and you shouldn't try to use it as one. But for little jobs, it's great.
