Springbok's Dragon Heart 500 Piece Round Jigsaw Puzzle for Adults - Unique Cust Pieces with Spectacular Dragon Image - Made in USA

I am an avid fan of Springbok's puzzles and will work just about any of theirs, but this was a new experience for me with this round one. The pieces have the same crisp colors and unique cuts that theirs are known for. The edges are surprisingly flat. The pieces are a little smaller than I was expecting them to be with a 500 piece, and that helped the edge pieces have a more subtle curve to them. The size of this is not as large as they can be either, so I am able to use a smaller board with it. They fit together well. I actually had a few pieces still stuck together including 4 still stuck together in one spot I had to take apart. You do not get a poster with theirs, but the picture on the box is always good to look at and display. I will definitely look for more of their round ones in the future to try out.

I had a good time doing this puzzle! The difficulty was just right, not too tough but not too easy either. It took me about 2 days to finish it. I really enjoyed the circular shape of the puzzle, and the unusual shaped pieces made it even more fun. It's not your typical 4 sided in/out pieces, there are zig zags, long pieces, tiny pieces to fill in the gaps etc. The artwork is pleasing to look at, vibrant colors, definitely one of my favorites to date.

This was a really fun puzzle. When I first opened it, not all of the pieces were fully cut. I had to separate about 20 sets of pieces, trying not to rip the piece.The puzzle was fun to assemble. The dragon was lower resolution compared to the border eggs. I don't know if that was intentional or not.The pieces were fun shapes and I didn't have many false fits.

The printing on this puzzle is top notch, as is the cutting of the pieces. The only challenge will be making a backer to mount and hang the puzzle when finished. Luckily, I have a full woodworking shop, as I don't see many 20" round frames. However, if you don't need a perimeter frame, you could easily cut a backer board from poster board, and if you want to get creative, use foam core, and maybe wrap the edge with some thick natural rope, or a silky thick cording, or...Seriously, if you have not built a quality puzzle, the pieces are so much nicer going together than cheaper puzzles. They are also perfectly flat, top and bottom, so they don't have that 3-D puzzle piece look, just clean crisp lines.

The artwork is very nice, with vibrant colors and nice detail. No poster of the artwork, so you need to use the puzzle box as your guide to assemble the puzzle. Not to difficult, but no to easy to assemble. I like it.

Springbok makes awesome jigsaw puzzles. I have assembled >many< puzzles over the years, and the Springbok puzzles are among my favorites. I have not assembled this one yet, so the review is based on the box art and a careful inspection of the pieces. I will also state the hype in the listing is actually truth. I've done one round puzzle before - a 30" round image of the Moon. It was greatly challenging and greatly rewarding. I expect this puzzle to be the same.

A circle puzzle was a different challenge compared to our typical rectangle/square shaped puzzles, a fun change of pace. The pieces are all different and fit together nicely. The artwork and associated colors are quite striking which help with the assembly experience. Thumbs up for this puzzle!
