I really found this very handy taking pictures with my iPhone. It has a good grip and you can use either the MagSafe feature or clamp feature to secure the phone. I was using the clamp because I was paranoid since I was taking pictures in a windy area but the magnet seemed pretty secure. For reference I have an iPhone 12 Pro and the case isn’t that big but a larger case might not be able to utilize the clamp feature. The device is rechargeable which is nice and setting it up is pretty easy. The picture is taken almost immediately after you press the button on the handle so no lag. I would definitely get this again and recommend it.

What a cool device! Didnt even know this existed but great for the everyday phone captures if you can’t bring your camera. Comfortable grip, smooth user experience and the remote shutter button works fantastic.

I need this smartphone camera grip for our upcoming epic vacation. I have seen enough dropped and broken smartphones that it makes me worry about dropping mine. I am careful but sometimes things happen. I don't want to let a broken smartphone ruin my time. This Ulanzi smartphone camera grip has a strong elastic-tensioned clip that is able to securely hold my Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max (with a protective case). I prefer this clip over a magnetic attachment as I am confident the smartphone will not accidentally slip out. The camera grip will make your smartphone slightly heavier and more bulky. That could be a problem if you are used to slipping a smartphone into a tight pocket. Out of the box, pairing the camera grip remote with the smartphone via Bluetooth was simple and easy. The remote is held in place on the camera grip by a magnet and by a couple of indentations on the body of the remote. The indentations keep the remote from sliding off. A negative I found with the Bluetooth is it will disconnect from the smartphone after 5 minutes of inactivity. There is no indication on the camera grip that the Bluetooth has disconnected. You will know when you try to take a photo and nothing happens. To reconnect, you will need to hold down the remote shutter button for about 3 seconds. For this reason, I minus one star. On another similar Ulanzi product, the MA35 camera grip, which I purchased for my wife's iphone, it will go into sleep mode after 15 minutes of inactivity and disconnect after 30 minutes. The camera grip allows me to hold the smartphone and take photos with one hand without worrying about dropping the smartphone. After our trip using the camera grip extensively, I will update this post if I have additional information.

This is really nice. It fits over my phone case, doesn’t block or interfere with any buttons. The shutter button seemed not to work well at first, then I realized that I needed to wait a few moments after turning it on to allow it time to connect. The remote comes off easily but connects tightly enough to stay in place. There’s a place on top for a light where a hot shoe for a flash would be - but it’s not hot, so your light would have to be battery operated. It will connect to a tripod. This does add bulk to your phone, but it still fits in my back pocket, although loosely. The mirror on the front is not great. It’s slightly reflective material, but very dull, not glass. It stays attached loosely. Easy to knock off. This is a good value for the money. I really like using it. I

Bought this for an Android phone which was within the stated dimensions to fit this holder. And it does fit...sort of. Problem being: the fit is so very tight am a bit hesitant to use the product as I’m concerned it could actually crack the phone’s glass over time or otherwise damage the phone. But other than that, works as advertised. Did not return it as I plan to tinker with it to see if I can’t somehow make it fit just a hair better. Other than the tight fit I like it a lot and it’s very functional for its intended use. Just be advised that if your phone’s width is at the outer edge of the dimensions this holder will work with, you might end up with a fit so tight it might give you to pause to want to use it on the phone for even a short period of time. Am hoping I can find a way to make this fit better as I would leave it on the phone all the time if I could make that happen.

The quility of the build is sturdy and the MagSafe works better than other brands in the price point. Small and compact so it's a small footprint in your bag or can fit in your pocket. The blue tooth button controls the camera functions that allows you to take video or pictures. The rotating head allows for horizontal or vertical use. I bought this to augment my ability to use my phone for inspection photography documentation as part of my job. I used it 4 or 5 times over the course of 1 month taking around 300 photos or more during each session using the bluetooth photo capture button. I tried using it today during my inspection and the bluetooth module would not turn on. I also could not get it to recharge the night before. I suspect the battery has stopped working or malfunctioned, which is unacceptable. The fill light operates and charges separetly. This portion is still working. As a troublshooting note I know that the bluetooth device was never fully depleted since it always automatically turned off after a few minutes of idle time. I wouldn't have minded if I at least got 1 full year of usage or 50 sessions. I don't recommend this product and will look for an alternative brand. It's terrible shame since it had great potential. Also the design would be better if the bluetooth and fill light were integrated into the same battery and power button. It was a pain to need two usb charging cables to charge the light and bluetooth.

Taking a quick photo with a phone, it can be difficult to keep the camera from moving slightly. With this device the camera can be held very comfortably and securely. The fact that a light is built in to brighten the subject makes it even better. It charges easily and quickly by plugging it in so you don’t have to carry batteries.
