Good and heavy

When I opened the box it looked promising, about 4 pole segments that easily screw together to finally the flat masher. I did about 10 moderate hits on the project I was working on (small pavers project). I hit a corner that wasn't perfectly flat with a small rock in the soil and the shaft split open very easily. I recommend buying a the name brand Tamper from HD or Lowes for $10 more. Do NOT recommend at all...

This is great, you can adjust the size as needed and then break it down easily for compact storage. Very sturdy and good for little landscaping projects around the house.

Love the 4 piece adjustable handle. Light weight but effective. Just poured a 10’ long, 8” wide retaining wall so it suits my needsPrepping a 12’ x 12’ pad and this did the job of compacting the necessary gravel base

The handle is thin sheet metal, where 4 pieces fit into one another. The base is solid and heavy. I used this to fill a pot hole, on the fifth hit the handle split. I had no choice but to keep using it and the handle disintegrated. Returned. Buy a tamper with a wooden or solid metal handle from a hardware store.

I needed something small to compact dirt because of a sidewalk install. Tamper was easy to use and worked perfectly. Great tool for small jobs.

Very usable

The multi piece handle is a terrible design. Loosens up and the steel is thin walled so it folded and broke at the base where it screws into the tamper with minimal, normal use. I’d recommend something with a wood, single piece handle.
