Just got this in the mail and could not wait to use it. We just got a nice car that smelled like an ashtray and cheap perfume and could barely drive it without gagging or at least a nice headache. We detailed the car and that took the sharp edge off temporarily but in a day it was fully back to ashtray mode. We put the generator on the passenger floorboard and ran for 30 min with the car sealed. After half an hour we ventilated the car and so far it smells like nothing. And that's the idea. NOTHING. Not chemicals covering it up or fragrances loaded with bad stuff. It is like a new car without any chemical smell. Like new material that is clean and fresh. We will use this on a regular basis to treat every space in our lives, it's that effective. It's light and easy to carry but plenty of power to get the job done. Great value and seems to be quality built.

I’m using this to clear any last vestiges of moldy smell from my parents’ bedrooms. They brought moldy stuff from their moldy home to my new home, without permission, and triggered several health issues for me that are persistent. When they finally left with their stuff, the awful tell-tale musty smell remained. (It smells like a thrift store.) I bought one of these on my dad’s dubious suggestion, but amazingly, it worked pretty well. I had to treat his and her rooms repeatedly to get rid of the musty odor, but it did succeed. Worked on the coat closet, too, where their musty outerwear contaminated everything. It’s a lifesaver if you have hoarders for family members. I told a neighbor about it, and his in laws are hoarders, so he bought one for their house, and said it is working well.Oddly enough, my parents can’t smell the mustiness, so they don’t use it on their stuff at their new place. I guess it’s true that people go nose-blind when surrounded by smells.How I do this: close the door to the room and all windows, set timer, turn on, hold my breath, and run out. I put the little sign on the door handle as a reminder. Then, when the timer is done, I wear a mask and run in, turn it off, and open all the windows. The ozonated air smells like bleach, a weird oxidized smell that tells you it is actually creating ozone. And best of all, the musty odor is eliminated. If it is mild, one hit might do, but in my home, re-treats are necessary, given the severity of the problem. Whenever their rooms start to have that musty odor again, I hit them with this thing. It is great for my garage, too, which is non-conditioned space, and I’ve used it in every room in the house, just in case, given the central air system’s ability to spread the mold everywhere.Do know that unless you use a draft dodger or something, the smell will leak out into adjacent rooms… I don’t think it’s in enough concentration to be dangerous, but another approach is just to run it right before everyone leaves the house for a while, and then open all the windows when you get back.NB: if you have allergies to mold, this won’t eliminate them. It will kill the mold, but it will not destroy or remove it. Dead mold causes reactions, too. I use HEPA filtration units and a whole house mold-removal filter to get rid of the dead stuff. There is no visible mold in my home, just the musty odor in their rooms that came in on their stuff. If you have visible mold, it will still be there when this is done. It just may not be able to spread, depending on how well this penetrates the colonies.This little gizmo has been great, and I can recommend it with enthusiasm.
