Handy For Frequent Concrete Pours
If you're frequently pouring concrete, this is really handy for quickly cutting rebar without a lot of sparks or shavings. Out of the box it does require some adjusting of the set screws to get the blades aligned right, but once that's done it cuts fairly well. It groans a little bit at the end but nothing too bad. I've had a Lotos plasma cutter for a few years and this seems to be right in keeping with their normal tools--decently made tools at a budget price that surprise you a bit when they work as well as they do. If you keep up with the maintenance this should last a good while. Nice tool worth getting.

Strong cutter and easy to operate
This cutter does require some attention to detail and calibration in set up before actual use. There are plenty of adjustment and set screws to tweak to make sure the cutting blade stays true to the cutter's geometric alignment. That actually took a while before I call it safe for use. Right out the box, two of the screws were loose and I had to go tightening it prior to use. Then I realized it was a bit crooked, so I took some calipers and some squares to get the blade to align correctly. Tried a few 1/2" rebars and cutting was superb using this cutter. It does seem to strain upon latter part of cutting the rebar, but it did pull through. The motor doesn't seem to get hot after about a dozen consecutive cuts. So I'd call this a win. The cutter has all the basic features covered, so using it isn't too hard. It's a bit heavy and the molded case seems to have a very loose hinge where one of the locking tabs is always so loose, and couldn't keep the case closed all the way. Other than that, this isn't bad. It runs the same color as my favorite brand, so I'm more than glad to keep it as part of my tools in the shed. Will be whipping it out to do some concrete prepping work.

Arrived used, and broken
Pretty sure I got the same one I read a review about on this product. Case came broken like they said theirs broke… and it’s clearly been used, missing the oil that comes with it. Cord was half hazard thrown in the box I hope someone else doesn’t get this as a return since I’m returning this one in hopes of getting a new machine

Makes rebar cutting so easy
This tool really makes it easy to cut rebar and kind of fun too. After getting it set up right with the blade at the right angle, it gets through rebar very quickly. It does weigh close to 20 pounds so can get a little tiring to use for longer stretches. It's way less tiring than cutting the rebar by hand though and it's really no big deal if you're just cutting a dozen pieces or so at a time. In operation it's not that loud which allows more focus on the cutting task. All in all it's a solid and useful tool that takes most of the hassle out of cutting rebar.
