Quality
Edit on 9/23/24: I came back to update this review today they are still great pliers and have held up to abuse yesterday. I had a stuck snap ring in the steering knuckle of a 23 year old car. I had to beat it out using the pliers and a hammer. They shouldn’t ever be used like that but they are still in perfect condition as far as I can tell. I will buy another pair when the time comes to replace these without hesitation. Thank you!Original review: Well made pliers. The finish is great too. They are durable. I’m happy with this purchase. There’s some cheap tools on here that aren’t worth the price. These are!

Well made assorted pliers.
Well made assorted snap ring pliers. SK has some nice stuff and these are no exception. They work good and hold up the same. Handles are comfy as well.

Well constructed solid tool
Just didn’t fit the tiny holes on the snap ring. Pin posts on the pliers too wide.

This is a quality set that can handle most common sizes of snap rings.
These pliers are something that I don't need very often, but when I need them, there is no substitute. This set makes it so much easier than prying off snap rings with the incorrect tool. This set has an amazing finish. I really like the blackened steel look. The laser etched logos look very clean. The springs are very strong and seem like they will last. The rubber grips feel thick and durable and I really like the green color. The pliers all seem to fit together tightly without any play. This set contains a good variety of pliers for both internal and external snap rings. It also includes bent and straight tips for removing snap rings in tight areas. So far, this set has been able to remove all of the automotive snap rings that I have needed to remove. Although, it seems like it won't fit in some very small snap rings.Overall, I am really happy with this set. The quality is top notch and it can handle almost every size of snap ring.

One tip shorter than the other
At first, the plier looks and feel great. But at closer inspection, I noticed that one of the tip is shorter than the other and the angle of the tip is more. Will be sending it back and hopefully, the new one will be better.

Complete Set
I normally don't use snap ring pliers but I was repairing my old washing machine and was happy to have this set. I was able to disassemble what I needed without losing the snap rings like I usually do because I don't have the right tools. This set has it all. Great kit.

I Still Love SK Tools...
I have a variety of other SK tools, some vintage USA-made, some new and made in USA, and some made in China. All seem to retain good SK quality.Admittedly, as an American, I do feel some inner conflict over this iconic USA brand now being Chinese-owned. But the SK brand continues to mean something to me, and some of their tools continue to be made in the USA as of 2024.These SK snap ring pliers are made in China, but they compare well with my USA made snap ring pliers. Furthermore, I also compared them with a brand new set of Craftsman snap ring pliers (also Chinese-made) and these are similar to the Craftsman. Only two of the pliers in the Craftsman set have springs in the handles, while all 4 of the SK pliers have springs. The SK are slightly lighter than the Craftsman, and the "jaws" are thinner than the Craftsman (see photos). Maybe there's a situation where that would be an advantage, but I haven't seen that it is either an advantage or disadvantage. These SK snap ring pliers, even though made in China, are not run-of-the-mill low quality imports. However, they are also not the best of the SK tools I own. They're just OK (and maybe a bit better than Craftsman). Also, many of my SK tools have come with very nice Kaizen-style foam organizers that can go directly in a tool box drawer. These come in a cheap plastic holder that seems to be only for shipping, not for continued use.Even though I love SK tools, the conflict continues to haunt me. I try to buy USA made tools whenever possible. But I still have my love for the SK brand (especially the X-Frame wrenches and the 216 position ratchets).BTW, I have some X-Frame wrenches that are made in the USA and some that are made in China. There's no difference that I can find.

Very High Quality Snap Ring Pliers!
There are some tools that you can easily get away with getting discount versions of, like ratchets and sockets. There are others where cheap tools will cause way more headache and its just better to get quality tools. Snap ring pliers are one of those where spending for quality will save you a lot of time and frustration. These pliers work really well for medium to large sized snap rings on automotive applications. The points are a bit too big to work on small rings that you might find on a motorcycle. The points are tough and they are shaped correctly. Notice how all of them bend outward slightly so that they retain the snap ring instead of letting it fly off never to be found again. These are excellent tools if you have need of them! If you do a job that involves these yourself, they will have paid for themselves.
