Great book, art styles vary
The stories in this book are excellently written. I'm new to comics so sometimes it was difficult to keep up with who was who. The first story was a bit confusing and I had to re-read bits of it. The art work is very different in different stories. There's 4 different style and one changes in the middle of one of the story arcs. I found this so confusing. Especially towards the middle of the book where captain marvel is hanging out with another blonde woman and it's an entirely new art style to the previous story in the book and she's not in the marvel outfit so I was so confused as to who was who and who was talking and doing what. The final story within the book is really riveting but unfortunately I really hated the art style. Captain Marvel's face just looks incredibly goofy and she looks stick thin. The other characters are drawn okay I guess but it's just her that I severely dislike. From what I can see the art styles seem to vary again in the next couple of editions too. Not sure why Marvel chose to do it like this, but I must say it's not what i'm accustomed to. Anyway, the stories are great and Captain Marvel is wonderful. I enjoy learning more about this character.

Awesome
I bought this for my fellow comic book nerd - my daughter. We are both eagerly awaiting the Captain Marvel movie but both knew very little about this incarnation of the character. This book is excellent across all fronts. I love the storytelling, and the art is simply amazing. I am going to be ordering the next volume shortly as I couldn't put this one down!
