This pump is currently being used in our roof mounted swamp cooler.It is the only source of cooling out here in the Palm Springs area and has been for 15 years.Like previously mentioned, you should get on the roof and spin the motor shaft by hand prior to firing up your swamp cooler each season.The calcium build up can freeze your pump shaft, and loosening it by hand ensures the pump will last the next season.We get 3, maybe 4 seasons out of one pump.Also, buy a 'snake' specific for the 'spider' on the top of the cooler to clean out the calcium occasionally.If one of the 8 spiders gets clogged, you are now down to 75% cooling capacity.If two of the 8 spiders gets clogged, you are now down to 50% cooling capacity.And it is SO easy to clean them out.Good item, but a bit pricey.Nevertheless, 5 stars because it will keep you cool much more cheaply than an A/C.

Terrible
Lasted 33 days then went out 3 days past return window and seller would do nothing . Referred me to the manufacturer. I've had pumps last years so 3 months is ridiculous.

It's been running in my master cool for about 3 months now and hasn't missed a beat.

11,000 pump at 115V
Lowes and Home Depot used to stock this pump but they don't anymore. I like to keep one on hand in case one goes out on one of my coolers.
