So easy to install. My pool company wanted almost $3,000 to install this. I bought this cover and installed it myself. Instructions tell you exactly how to lay it out and where to set the straps. You drill holes and put in the screw inserts. They give you EVERYTHING you need (Except the drill and bit of course). Once it was adjusted, it was very tight! I peeked under it a few days ago (Been covered for 4 months now) and it only has like 2 leaves in it. Great cover!

This is a great "elephant cover for an in ground pool. Material is thick and durable and straps are heavy duty. Water drains through the cover and all the leaves, twigs and most dirt stays on the cover. Hardware is good quality but be aware, if you don't have this type of cover already, you will need to drill 28-30 3/4" holes in your concrete area around your pool and will also need a real hammer drill and not some hand drill that has a hammer setting. This cover so far is handling the new england winter with no problems. Very good investment.

I was torn between solar cover and this. I bought this because it covered the pool entirely. Solar covers just cover the surfaces. My purpose is not to retain the heat so solar cover didn't make sense anyway. This is much better option if your objective is to protect the pool from elements such as leaves, dust and so on. My yard is surrounded by many trees and in the winter when wind blows, the pool gets trashed. I don't even use it for several months. And I fired the pool guy recently. So no reason to keep it open during colder season. Drilling into concrete was PITA with improper tools but with hammer drill, it was easy enough. The bolt is 3/4 inch. Get yourself a hammer drill and 3/4 inch drill hammer drill bit. Regular drill bit does not work with hammer drill. If you drill into pavers or bricks, impact drill will do.The cover is very sturdy and straps are thick and strong. They advertise that kids and dogs can walk on it but I wouldn't let them do it. The tarp is not that strong. How do I know? Because I cut out 6 grids. Vevor told me not to do it. They wouldn't help me. I bought 20x40 product and had to cut it 1 grid length shorter as it was too long for me. Then I cut 2 more on the sides to fit to my need. Anyway, the tarp is not that strong. Do not let your kids walk on it!The springs should be redesigned although they serve their purpose. When installed, they slightly lift the tarp. The rings on each end of springs should've been located lobsided so that they don't lift the tarps and that they stay flush to ground.Taking springs off when pool season arrives will be quite difficult. I sent a message regarding this to them and am waiting for the answer.Edit: they replied and sent me a link to a video that doesn't resolve any issue. I asked how to take springs off under tension but they showed how to install.

We gave up on the soft pool covers. Water gets in them and it’s hard to remove without the yucky water getting in the pool. This hard cover is the way to go. Easier to install and stays put. Easier to remove also!!! Should have purchased this years ago!

This pool cover was an excellent value! Much cheaper than buying it on a pool supply site. Quality seems very good and sturdy. It was easy to install. I will update after my first winter if it turns out it doesn't survive.

We installed the cover at closing, when we opened the pool today the water is dirty green with debris floating on top and all in the bottom and algae growing in it.If I could give it zero stars I would do not waste your money on this junk.

Worked well, made it thru a NY winter! Hoping it lasts us a few more years.

This was the low priced option, so only years will tell whether it is a good value or not.I have used the vinyl cover with water bags for 32 years.Finally bit the bullet and installed it myself.Other than the first two holes, everything else lined up well.The instructions are fairly sparse but just watch a YouTube video and you can do it.But you must have a hammer drill with a new bit if you're drilling through old concrete. It required 26 three-quarter inch holes. A heavy duty Hilti and the new bit did just fine
