Item was packed in a dense plastic foam which protected it from damage because the outside of the box was crunched. The item itself is hefty and glistens. Lid fits well.

finish is better than i expected. i already have tlc developing tank from others, but this product has better quality & finish & price. it would be better if the seller provides the thickness of tlc glass plate that can be supported, because the tlc glass plate i pre-owned are not fit.

This is a very nice and solid little boro-glass TLC tank. I do not use TLC, but needed a small covered vessel. This is perfect, and I don't see how it wouldn't be perfect for TLC either. It has the internal ridges to help hold the plats, and the cover to help with evap. The glass is very thick, reassuringly so. Haven't temp tested it yet, but if it is genuine borosilicate glass, I can't see this breaking without trying to break it. The base is very sturdy and very weighty. It's a big thick slab of glass, once again very confidence inspiring. The lid looks a bit like a curved petri dish or watch-glass with edges. For reference, the lid is approx 4-6mm thick. Clarity in the tank is quite nice. The back clear wall does have a small glass defect in it hindering observation but is more annoying than any real issue. Nice tank! Sturdy, quality.

Admittedly, I did not order this for its specific purpose. Rather, I was hoping to fill with rubbing alcohol and use it to store toiletry instruments in my bathroom - tweezers, mustache scissors, etc. Love that it has the lid as well.
