Glad Premium Trash Can with Clorox Odor Protection, 20 Gallon, Black

I needed a new waste bin for my kitchen that was functional but didn't look like an eyesore, and this 13-gallon Glad can has been exactly what I was looking for. The matte black finish is sleek and blends in well with my appliances, but the real value is in the features that make taking out the trash less of a chore. The hands-free foot pedal is very responsive and feels sturdy underfoot. It opens the lid smoothly every time, which is a huge help when I’m middle of cooking and have my hands full. I was also pleasantly surprised by the odor protection in the lid. It does a great job of sealing in smells, so I’m not constantly reminded that the trash is half-full whenever I walk into the kitchen. One of my favorite small details is the internal bag rings. They hold the trash bag securely in place so it doesn't slip down into the bottom of the bin as it gets heavy, and they keep the edges of the bag tucked away so it looks much neater from the outside. The plastic material is easy to wipe down and doesn't show fingerprints like stainless steel does. If you want a simple, durable trash can that keeps your kitchen smelling fresh and looking organized, this is a solid choice that offers great value for the price.

Overall, this trash can works great. It was actually bigger than I was expecting, which is a good thing for sure. It fits perfectly in our kitchen and has a nice clean look to it. It arrived with everything put together so there was no installation needed for any of the parts. The lid works great as well, you stand on the button and it shoots right open until you’re done. It also has little pieces to hang the trash bag on and that makes it extremely easy to put the bag on and take it off, as well as ensure it doesn’t slip off while using. For the price, this trash can is perfect and simple.

Love the size and quality of this trash can for the price! Nice step feature. Came shipped right in the Glad brand box with no damage. Going to be perfect for empty cans/bottles in our garage. Would be great for any space!

My first one ordered is great so ordered another one. This is not as good, lid comes off crooked when lever is pressed. But too much trouble and shipping cost too much, to send back. I don’t drive much and would have to drive miles to take back. So, hit or miss in this trash can.

I should have looked for trash cans this size way before now, with 4 dogs I sweep 2 to 4 times a day, having such a wide opening allows me to easily open the lid eith the pedal and use my dustpan with a long handle and dump the contents In without needing to redo the area around my bins. It also holds both my 13 gallon bags or 30 gallon bags just fine. There are bars to keep the bag steady inside the can, extremely simple and a huge time saver. Its built so well im buying one for outside as well for when I trim my trees or work on my garden. Its very lightweight but holds up well, if I have and issues with cracks ill update but so far its been probably a weeks and it was exactly what I needed, I will probably swap all my large garbage bins to this one and simplify my life!

The lid of this can is a good design, but it's flimsy. The metal bar that operates the lid fits into a hole in the plastic to operate the lid. The lid also fits onto the can with plastic hinges. Unfortunately, the plastic has worn in less than a year to the point where the lid no longer operates. The hinge has broken so the lid no longer opens and closes and sits loosely on the can. I leave it open, but the "arms" that hold the trash bag and the rim itself collects dirt, crumbs, etc. So it doesn't work and it takes extra effort to clean. Not a great combo.

We had a similar wastebasket that lasted at least 15 years before the foot pedal broke. This Glad Waste Bin appears to be sturdier so I hope it lasts as long. The rings that secure the trash bag are a great idea. They secure the bag in place so that, hopefully, it will stay wrapped around the bin as it gets heavier with trash, which was a problem with our old wastebasket.

I mean, its a trash can but the lid always gets stuck when you try to use the step to open it. I also have the upgraded version that also runs into the same problem. You'll get it for the price and keep it for the same reason. Just wish it had a removable shell like a lot of other trashcans but they cost more for a reason

Good quality plastic. Lid flips up well. It's large but it's amazing how quickly it can get filled up with recyclables. I would recommend getting a nice big size like this.

The bin has been successful In keeping the odour out. We clear the bin about every 2 days. Just note that there is no soft closing. Not a feature that is advertised anyway.

Unfortunately, the foot pedal mechanism failed after just 3 days of use.

Tiene muy buen tamaño y el plástico es de buena calidad. Tuve problemas con la bisagra de la tapa, se rompió. Específicamente la bisagra trae unos anillos de plástico muy débiles, que al poco uso se desgastan y se rompen.
