Very Authentic Taste
I love Dan Dan Noodle and it's a bit expensive to order it for take out so I've been searching for an alternative. I've tried several brands from amazon but this is by the far the best tasting and most authentic Dan Dan noodle kit that I've tasted, it's almost perfect. I will be buying again and again.

Pretty good, but not sure I'd get them again
These Noodology meal kits are in many ways typical of the upper-tier packaged noodle meals available at Asian markets. The more expensive the package, the more little packets of flavorings, toppings, and garnishes are included. The variety pack has three flavors, each having the same type of noodle, but with varying numbers of additions, with Dan Dan having the most and Soy & Scallion having the least. Unfortunately, I don't think I'm a big fan of the noodles themselves, which are unlike any I've had or even seen before. They look like thin, narrow lasagna noodles. So that keeps me from giving these noodles a full five-star rating.Preparation is fairly straightforward. You cook the noodles in boiling water, drain them, then add the toppings. (Dan Dan noodles have an additional step, described below.) The noodle package contains a small plastic tray which hints at a microwave cooking method, but only stovetop instructions are provided, so it seems to be superfluous (i.e. wasteful) packaging. Thankfully, the kits come in recyclable boxes and not more plastic. Here are my subjective impressions of the favors; your mileage may vary. I've also included photos of each meal with its box for reference. (The photos without a box are the Dan Dan Noodles, before and after mixing the toppings.) I prepared each meal as instructed with no additions except green onions and sometimes a little soy sauce. The Dan Dan Noodles were the most filling, but my least favorite flavor. The kit comes with five(!) packets in addition to the noodles. Two are fairly large toppings -- the chick peas and the plant-based meat sauce -- that you heat up in the boiling water before cooking the noodles. (Not sure why a previous reviewer didn't understand the point of putting the packets in the water; it's to heat them up, of course.) One of the smaller packets contains just the chili oil, which is nice because it allows you to control the spice level. My first impression of the flavor was good, but by the end I was not really enjoying it anymore. I must admit never having had Dan Dan noodles, so I cannot comment on its authenticity.Chili Sesame-Peanut Garlic noodles were my second favorite. This kit has three packets: sauce, garlic topping, and chili oil. Sesame, peanut, and garlic are a classic combination and I again appreciated the separately packaged chili oil for spice control. Here I added sliced green onion as a flavorful garnish and a little soy sauce for salt and umami.Soy & Scallion, with only one sauce packet IIRC, was the simplest, but my favorite flavor. Inspired by the image on the box with a garnish of shredded nori, I sprinkled a small amount sesame-nori furikake on the noodles. I may have liked this one the most because it was more Japanese in flavor.Unfortunately for me, my least favorite (Dan Dan) is the one Noodology decided to include two of to make the four-kit variety pack. That one's still on the pantry shelf until I am hungry enough to giv e it another try.

I am from China, and these noodles are some real authentic Chinese. Noodles have satisfying chewy texutre, and topping has complex but balanced flavor.

A Quick & Easy Meal That Is Filling
Flavor Name: Variety PackLong gone are the days when, like so many others, a small packet of Ramen noodles held me over for dinner during my college days. This boxed set sort of makes me think of a graduated version. Almost as easy to make, but so much more filling and tasty. Sure, not as good as what you would get at a noodle shop, but satisfying enough for an at home meal. Almost as easy as just boiling water because that's about all that you do, short of mixing the different packets together in your bowl.Personally, I'd suggest using one box per person, unless you eat like a bird, or you are including other food offerings for your meal. The one box filled me up, but if I only got half of that, I'd still be hungry.Unlike regular Ramen noodles, I can use the entire packets when mixing everything together. When I use to make those small cheap packets of noodles, I could not at all use the entire spice pack. In fact, I'd only pinch off a teeny bit of the spice to mix in the bowl because it was entirely too salty and nasty. This version is mixed just right. Not too much and not too little. Just right. If you like, you can easily add any sort of additional ingredients that you might like, from meats to vegetables. That will fill out each dish and maybe make it even tastier. My only issue is that I do find the price to be too high for too many potential consumers at $29.88 (today's price) for 4 boxes. Although, they are offering a clickable coupon for $10 off which makes a big difference and much more doable for a lot of hungry consumers. Still not a budget meal, but if it works for you, you'll have a dependable, tasty meal for those times when you don't have the time to take to make a full meal or just don't feel like messing around in the kitchen.

Great Noodles with OK Seasoning
I really like the noodles in these packages and can say they cook just fine in the microwave if you want to be lazy. The Soy & Scallion and Chili Sesame seasonings were fairly good. The vegetarian Dan Dan noodles were interesting but I really did not like the flavor or the imitation meat or the chickpeas.

Delicious and quick
These are delicious noodles, in fact, little meals all to themselves. They each come with several little mini-packets of additional ingredients/toppings that are added after cooking, such as peas (chickpeas?), protein bits (which, though plant-based, are actually quite 'meaty' and good), chili oil, peanut sauce, etc. These make for a very flavorful dish, compared to grocery store offerings with a single flavoring packet. The instructions are clear, and the dishes can be prepared in just a few (4-5) minutes. These are great as an accompaniment to a main dish, or even as a quick meal or snack all in itself.

Really tasty but really high in calories per box
These were really good! I got the variety pack. But I couldn't believe my eyes when it said there were two servings per box, and that some were about 500 calories per serving, nearing 1000 calories per box! That might be part of why they taste so good.My husband also liked these, in fact he ate more of them than I did, but I got a bite of each at least. When I originally got these it had a price tag of $29.88, but at the time of this review they are $19.94, which is a much more reasonable and worth trying out.
