Yes you could but I highly recommend that you buy the proper cover for your device. The beauty of this product is that the developer has gone to great lengths to make the application part of the product easy and certain. The vast improvements of products like this in the past few years have been removing the nightmare of trying to get a sticky film on properly without fingerprints, tears and an ill fitting finished product on your expensive device. Cutting a product by hand, meant and engineered to fit one device so you can create a makeshift cover will be a frustrating and unsatisfying experience. Do your self a favor and buy the proper product for your device and sell or return this one. Trust me.
