Great
Great item for monitoring baby in bed. Easy to set up and use. Has a great battery life. Easy to monitor room temperature and baby movements. I have used angel care monitors with my previous two children and this one is excellent. Screen quality is brilliant. Thank you

Good monitor for peace of mind.
I originally bought an owlet monitor but decided early on I would prefer a monitor with its own screen rather than using my mobile phone as it was just eating through battery life and I had to keep signing back into my phone to use it. Also I had some reservations despite security features at the video going via WiFi etc. Much happier with the Angelcare which was recommended by a friend - bought for their little one and still in use as a 3 year old with no issues. The image quality is good and it picks up sounds of baby crying but mostly ignores other small sounds which is useful. I'd like to be able to set the monitor screen to continually show video but alas the max is 5 minutes, however I can pull the video back up at the touch of a button. Certainly for is it has been a much better option than the more expensive original monitor.

A solid, reassuring baby monitor with a few usability quirks
After doing a frankly unhealthy amount of research (as all new parents do at 2am…), I ended up choosing this monitor specifically because it’s approved by The Lullaby Trust. That stamp of approval gave me instant confidence, and it’s ultimately the reason I picked this over the hundreds of other similar monitors on the market. Having now used it for a while, I feel like I’ve got a good handle on the real-world pros and cons that other parents might want to know before committing. What I really like: Lullaby Trust approved - huge peace of mind. This was the clincher for me. Knowing the sensor pad setup meets their safe-sleep guidance made me feel far more comfortable using movement monitoring at all. It’s clearly been designed with safety and accuracy in mind. The sensor pad is a brilliant inclusion - some monitoring systems charge extra for a pad or other similar monitors. This pad came in the box, works reliably, and genuinely does add another layer of reassurance. Once you’ve tested it and know how sensitive it is, you get a great deal of peace of mind. No Wi-Fi faff (and no Wi-Fi anxiety) This was a big selling point for me. No account creation, no apps, no worrying about outages, no random firmware updates at bedtime. It’s all self-contained - turn it on and off you go. Yes, you can’t view the video or get alerts on your phone, but you know that you won’t get let down by dodgy signal or outages overnight. The simpler set up is also much more babysitter (i.e. grandparent) friendly. Very easy to set up Out of the box, everything paired instantly. Camera on, parent unit on, pad plugged in - it all just… worked. There was no moment of “Why won’t this connect?” which is already a win when you’re sleep deprived. The bits that could be better: Camera quality isn’t amazing It’s fine - you can your the baby well enough - but it’s not as sharp or clear as some other monitors in the same price range. In low-light especially, it’s more “that’s probably their arm” than HD clarity. Menus and controls lack intuition Nothing is difficult but there are too many button presses involved for certain actions. A specific example: pausing the sensor pad before you pick baby up. You get used to it, but there’s definitely a moment in the early days where you’re fumbling through menus thinking, “Why isn’t there just one button for this?” The camera, sensor pad AND parent unit all need to be on This is the biggest frustration. If you want to use the sensor pad with a next-to-me crib in your bedroom, the camera has to be on too - which means you’ve basically got a baby monitor camera staring at you all night. It would be far more convenient if the pad could run independently of the camera. Overall thoughts: Once you accept its quirks, this is a good, reliable monitor with serious peace-of-mind value. The Lullaby Trust approval makes it feel safer than many alternatives, the sensor pad works well, and set-up is as easy as it gets. The image quality and controls could be slicker, and I do wish the pad could operate without the camera attached, but none of these are deal-breakers for me. If your priority is reassurance without Wi-Fi and the movement sensor alerts are more important to you than crisp HD video, this monitor does the job well - and has helped me sleep a little easier, which is pretty much the whole point.

Impossible battery change
Had this for 6 months now and it has been brilliant. However, I can't change the battery for the sensor pad. I'm struggling with any coin as the plastic is too soft and is wearing away and so I can't get grip to open the battery slot. This now means without buying a whole replacement product we cannot use the sensor pad, the camera or the monitor. All we wanted to do was to change the battery.

Peace of mind
I know this product doesn't prevent anything but the fact that I've managed to get just a tiny bit more peaceful sleep knowing that the sensor is on is worth every penny. I like that the sensitivity can be adjusted which has allowed us to use it in the co sleeping crib. I also love that this doesn't need wifi unlike other monitors so it's always good to go.
