Great Value and Great Bread Dutch Oven
I’ve been on a sourdough starter journey for about a year now and had been wanting to invest in a bread-specific Dutch oven for several months. However, I couldn’t justify the price. Until now, I had been using a Martha Stewart standard Dutch oven, which performed well, and I also tried a Lodge Dutch oven but wasn’t impressed. When my wife spotted the Crust Love Dutch oven on sale for Black Friday, I was hesitant. It wasn’t a brand I was familiar with, and many of the reviews were Vine reviews, which made me skeptical. That said, I decided to give it a try and used it the same day it arrived. I’m so glad I did! This Dutch oven exceeded my expectations—it worked better than both of the others I own, and I was genuinely surprised by its performance. Plus, the price point is fantastic.Honestly, I would have been happy to pay full price for it—it’s that good. If you’re into bread baking, I highly recommend the Crust Love Dutch oven. It’s definitely worth it! 👍🏼

Impressive this Dutch oven comes with everything to make sourdough bread save a starter jar.
This is the 1st Dutch oven that I've owned And I really do like it unfortunately although it seems high quality It's too big for my oven. In the long run maybe that's a good thing The 1 thing about the air oven is maintaining the temperature at an even keel is pretty difficult. I was hoping a Dutch oven would mitigate that somewhat but It may not have so I'm having to use my regular gas oven for this. I really didn't need all the accessories as a couple of starter sets with glass jars and proofing baskets I already have. It took me over a month and 2 or 3 different tries to actually get the sourdough starter to work correctly. I guess I made some rookie mistakes with the flour and using the distilled water instead of just standard. Plus I made the mistake of neglecting it a few days and it ended up being just mush instead of actual sourdough starter. Given that type of air it amazes me that some famous restaurants have maintained their starter for dozens of years if not decades with the same base that they've continually fed. I can only think there must be some trick to it since it seems to go bad so easily. Anyway after proofing I set out to make my 1st couple of loaves.Where I grew up we always had a gas stove and gas range and oven but one thing we didn't have Is the typical range on the top of the oven. I really do miss that because it was at a level where it was easy to open the door and put in what you were going to bake without even having to lean over. I knew the people that were in the house earlier because we were there their neighbors and my father bought the house from them. They were big believers in self sufficiency so they baked a lot of bread cookies other types of baked goods and they did making their own bottled juices and other things. The issue I had with this for me is that it is heavy, with the bread in it I think it weighs about 20 Lbs. Leaning over to put the bread in and take it out is tough. I forgot to score the 1st loaf so it split a little bit sort of unnaturally I guess. It still tasted very good especially with some of my Kerrygold butter. I remembered when making the second loaf to score it with the razor blade and it came out much better. Sourdough bread is great but unfortunately I'm not diligent enough to keep maintaining this starter forever. I'll probably have to start and stop every time I want to indulge in some really good sourdough bread. I wonder if any place in town sells fresh sourdough starter. Still I guess I can use it with different types of regular dough from the bread maker just mix it up and use the dough. Recommended.

CRUSTLOVE Dutch Oven Bread Baking - 5QT Enamel Bread Dome
I'm a bit of a cast iron snob. I started out using antique cast iron passed down from various sets of my grandparents. When I left home, my mother gifted me some pieces of cast iron. I have a small collection of Le Creuset that I managed to snag while they were at a fabulous sale price. However, I couldn't bring myself to spring for a Dutch oven specifically made for baking bread. When I saw this cast iron baking kit by CRUSTLOVE, I decided to give it a go. I'm one of those cast iron users who has a dedicated egg frying pan. I'm also intolerant of gluten or the chemicals used on non-organic grains, so it makes sense for me to have a dedicated bread-baking cast iron set.I haven't used any other manufacturer's version of a cast iron Dutch oven bread baker, but I feel the bread that comes from this oven meets my standards. The whole kit has met my expectations. I wouldn't hesitate to gift one of these sets to a loved one.

CANNOT LOVE THIS ENOUGH
I have been using this for a few months for sourdough bread baking and it is AMAZING. It is heavy, but it holds up, and bakes a loaf like no other. The other items it comes with are very helpful tools as well that will only enhance your experience. There is a recipe/instruction book included. It's a beautiful blue just as pictured.
