I'm honestly impressed this didnt cost more. It's heavy, solid metal construction. Beautiful design, works well. Easy to configure for whatever combination you want and includes the a tiny screwdriver needed to do so. If this were available in other designs, i.e. scifi, middle earth, cyberpunk, I'd be tempted to get them too. I like this thing. Mine came with a cute little surprise gift inside...

I love geocaches, and I got this cryptex because I want to utilize it in a cache of my own. The product comes in a lovely magnetized box, along with many accessories (including romantic items like a pendant and rings, as well as a screwdriver, spare screws, and super glue). This cryptex is made entirely of metal, and is therefore very heavy. It feels well-made.My only real complaint is that the dials were initially quite difficult to rotate. The inner tube seems to be a slightly inconsistent diameter, causing some encoding rings to have a hard time revolving around it. After disassembly, code-changing, and reassembly, however, it now rotates more smoothly – although it still feels a little difficult to turn.In summary, this cryptex is a solid, well-built, and heavy device, and a fun way to give a gift to a loved one. However, I don't recommend it if the recipient has a hard time opening pickle jars.
