Great family game
My husband had the original version of this as a child and we bought ours some ten years ago. I has been well played with ever since until finally the bowlers arm gave out. Despite mending him with a screw he only played for another two seasons and we will be buying this latest version this year to replace ours.It has been much enjoyed by adults and children alike and was a great hit at boys birthday parties.

Not as good as the orginal Test Match Game
I bought this for my son to play during the Corona Virus period. I had the orginal Test Match game with David Gower and Ian Bothan on the box.My main issue is the bowling - it is too easy to bounce the ball and make it unplayable - the original game the bowler bowled it down the shoot and along the ground and the batmans could wack it (or miss) now it seems to hard to hit it - and when you do make connection the follow through of the batman is limited so it seems you can't smash it like you used to.It feels like they've tried to make it too complicated.Currently scouring the internet for an original bowling machine....

Some improvements on an old favourite
When I was young I had a cricket game called Test Match. When my 7 year old asked for a cricket game I searched the web and found this.If you know the old game here are the differences. The bat is to scale and a trigger is used to swing it.The bowler bowls from his hand (not down a cute)The ball is metalic and the fielders (including bowler and wicket keeper) have magnets so dropped catches are rare. The wicket keeper is a "person" and his stand contains the wicket. The boundary is made of rope. There is no SIX area, you must hit the ball over the boundary (so far I've found this impossible). My 7 and 10 year olds love it.It takes 5 mins to set up and you need a flat surface, but overall it's good fun.

brilliant game. Grandson loved it
brilliant game. Grandson loved it. Husband put the green pitch on a board. Bit tricky to get the hang of the bowling and batting but once mastered good fun for all.

Simly great fun and well thought out
Very impressed with the game and the construction.I stuck the playing pitch to a 1220x950 plasterboard with white PVA glue from DIY merchant: using the same adhesive to fix the boundary rope, thus dispensing with the velcro clips.

A Classic Re-Vamped
I used to love the original version of this game from the 1980's, I bought this new version for my Nephew, and must say I think it is an improvement on the original. I would suggest pinning the pitch to a sheet of wood so that the creases don't effect your bowling!Good fun.
