I loved the first one I got so much that I ordered another one. The second one came in and wasn't the same pattern. The flap was sewn to the top and covered the pen holding portion. It was literally unusable as a pocket protector/pen holder. Assuming it was a fluke I returned it and ordered a replacement. Same thing. it's just frustrating. Because I'd order even more, but second ones I got were unusable. Completely useless.Original Review: I love the crap out of this thing. It's classy, it's bold, it's practical. It holds my pens while protecting the s*** out of my pocket. I've gotten so much discussion out of it. People always bring it up. The ONLY thing I would say would improve it is the leather front is too thick for the pens to get over easily on the regular. Not a big deal since it's tight enough to hold them in anyway.

I bought this pocket protector because I go through the plastic ones too fast. I really like the leather texture and quality. The only issue is that the front fold is too thick. Not sure what it's called, the part that hangs over your pocket. Anyhow the leather is folded and then sewn to keep the fold from flipping up. Makes it too thick for most pen clips to clip onto. I just stuff it in my pocket now which works for me. If you the type of person who just shoves your protector in your pocket than this "inconvenience" shouldn't bother you. But if must have the fold outside your pocket, you may have a problem with this protector. Me, I'm keeping it. I've gotten over this.

This is a very well made protector that should last a VERY long time! It however has reduced usability in that the folded leather top flap is so thick that most pens and Mechanical pencils have a hard time clipping to it. It's also a bit too narrow for the claimed 5 pen holding capacity. I do however appreciate the quality!

I love the quality of this pocket protector. I Purchased to keep tools from falling out of my pocket when bending over. It keeps the tools together but the whole ouch still falls out. I am working on a way to modify mine to keep it in the pocket. Just a thought on future designs either a more friction is leather finish or possibly a magnet clasp on the flap.

Lip of the protector is way too thick. Bends or breaks the clips of your pens/tools. Heavy weight of the protector sinks your shirt pocket and easily falls out of the pocket when you bend over. Smarmy little card about illegal immigration was included with item to try and make you feel bad about yourself. Thumbs down.

This product is wonderful!!! It feels and smells like real leather, and you can tell that time was put into the quality of the product! I expect this thing to last forever, unless I abuse the s*** out of it, lol.

The quality of work is worth the price. I gifted the holder to a person whose always used plastic holders. Considering the matter of pocket sizes between designers vary, I wish this protector arrived with a pinch clip for the inside pocket which may prevent the protector from flipping out. Making the back flap an inch or two longer may prevent protector from sliding out of place so easily.

It was way smaller than I thought it should be for a pocket protector. Doesn't even fill up whole pocket. I use it for a few thing, pocket screwdriver, ink pen, flashlight, mini level, an screw starter. Had to down size to 3 things. Nice craftsmanship.
