Well made, good sound, heavy and can make some (nice) noise
I'll give it 5 stars, I was pleasantly surprised with the quality. The sounds from this metal guitar can be well, metallic at times, other times it rings like the bell brass it is made of. The action is a teensy bit hard, but everything was in propere alignment out of the box. It's definitely heavy, and it can make some sound! It's definitely a personality in the room, a good, musical personality. I really like it.

wow, just wow!!
I have looked at this guitar for years. Played it at guitar center and while I liked the sound, I just was not sure. Well, one night I pulled the trigger, and I am happy I did. This thing plays amazingly and sounds like angels playing the bells. I really like the tone that comes out. I wish it had a pickup, but I got one picked out to get one day. The only hard thing about it is trying to find a case for it. After trying many different cases I will need to get the one Gretch makes for it that costs $200. I love this guitar and want it to last where I can pass on to my grandchildren.

Outstanding!
Came to me as a returned guitar. I played it and inspected it carefully. Not even a finger print. I was going to send it back if there was anything wrong. Sounds great and the action is perfect for finger picking. Could be the first recipient wanted higher action. Love it is so far and have a month to test her out. So far I highly recommend.

Great guitar for delta blues.
When I first played it I immediately wanted to return it. Since then I can't put it down. I was used to playing beautiful sounding Martin acoustics. The gruff, tinny tone of a resonator is initially shocking. I put it in an open D tuning and figured out some chording. Not a problem as I had played in D tuning in the past. Now I just love that delta blues vibe and I find myself playing the resonator the most and I have about ten guitars. Now the down side: This guitar is very heavy and therefore out of balance. When it's over my knee, it tends to slip down which forces me to hold onto the neck while trying to chord at the same time. The action is slow up the neck and slide tone on the original strings is not good, especially on the bass strings. I am still using the original strings so I'm not sure if a new set will improve the tone for slide. Although I would have preferred a mirror-like finish, I do like the look of the guitar and appreciate that it hides fingerprints. I mostly play Travis style fingerpicking. This is a challenge on this and any resonator due to the guard that sits above the cone. It makes dampening the strings with the palm of the hand difficult at best. In my opinion, this is an instrument for a seasoned musician and not a beginner. If you can't afford a National resonator, this is the next best thing.

Very satisfied
The Honey Dipper G9201 is highly rated in countless resonator guitar reviews., so I decided to go for it. This guitar is amazing! The tone is awesome, and the guitar plays like a dream. The build is solid - no flaws - perfect in every way. I have played guitar for 50 years and own many fine instruments. This guitar stands out as one of the best I own. It arrived on time and in perfect condition. A+

Neck was broken
The guitar was beautiful, but after initial inspection, I discovered that the neck snapped with the grain on the thick portion attached to the body.

Tone is different
I didn’t care for sound from the strings so I changed to flat wound 12-53. Now I like it. Also good to build muscle, (it’s heavy) all in all it has that Delta Blues sound which is why I bought it. Happy now.

Beautifully made
I purchased this guitar after about a month at looking at resonator guitars. I wanted that deep swamp sound, and this thing delivers. I play mostly slide on it, and the tone is beautiful. I added a 12 Bar Blues Pickup to complete the set up.
