"he who grinds own beans is twice warmed,"So yes it's kinda slow and it's not all that practical if you are making more than just a cup or two. Since I don't live in a house full of coffee drinkers it works for me. So nice to get a (fairly) even grind vs. the fast blade grinder. Good for early mornings to not wake everybody else up at 4AM with an electric grinder (though I often do mine the night before to save time. I know, I know, fresher is better and is kind of the point!). I do find it perfect for lazy Saturday mornings. If I had to come up with one complaint it's that there is no extra/separate lid for the jar. Perhaps I'll find something around here that fits one of these days.Dirt cheap, so low risk to the pocket book to try it out. Not 5 stars compared to fancy expensive grinders but for what it is,But for the price how can it not be 5 stars?!!!So above was my first impression but one of the plastic pieces inside broke in two after about 2 1/2 months of use. Got what I paid for I guess. Need to find something like it with more metal and less plastic inside. Liked it while it lasted but back to pre-ground (gasp) for a while I guess.

Great little grinder for a single cup of coffee. Like that the grind adjustment has notched clicks, so can easily count my way to consistent grind. The jar is heavy glass and see nothing that would cause it to fail. Have always kept a jar of ground coffee on hand, in case of power outage, but now have no electricity needed, fresh ground The scoop and brush set are nice additions, that I would not have purchased otherwise, but glad to have on hand, and possibly contributed to selecting this grinder over others I was considering.

I really like the taste of coffee ground in this thing, the same beans taste better from this than from an electric steel-bladed grinder

Looks good so far. You can get a coarse grind without any powder,scoop and Cleaning Brush is practical

The grind lever is too short and comes off very easily while trying to grind. Coffee grinds end up down between the top part and the glass receptacle and go everywhere when you open it up. Extremely poor design all around. Very disappointed.
