Blum delivers again. A solid, reliable product. It's a fairly simple upgrade but the result just changes the overall mood in a busy home kitchen. Eliminating the squeaks and slams alone is life changing. Tip: If you are upgrading from your basic builder-grade cabinet hinges, keep in mind that the Blum replacement will have a noticeably thicker mount. If you have pull-out or roll-out shelving solutions in your cabinets, shimming them might be required so they will clear the new hinges on the way out. Take the time to carefully review the specs Blum provides in their on-line PDF so you know what to expect. If you don't have any of the aforementioned solutions, other than some adjustments here and there, these hinges are pretty much plug and play. Highly recommended. Enjoy!

Since we were going through the trouble of painting the kitchen cabinets I wanted to replace the original hinges with slow close. However, I did not want to add to my misery by having to change the hinge mount, etc. These hinges were an exact size match for the original Blum hinges we had on our kitchen cabinets. They were easy to insert in the same mortise and screw holes. I had to purchase matching screw separately, as our originals were brass, but this was a great purchase, great price, no problems. All of our kitchen cabinets close slow now. Just need to work on the others in the house.

These a good hinges and a quick install. They will take up some of the room in the door opening, so keep that in mind if you are planning on adding pull out shelves. I gave these 4 stars instead of 5 because they are one piece, ie. you can't take the door off without unscrewing the hinge.

We have a home built in the early 90s and all of our cabinets have Grass 830-38 hinges. I was dreading the project of replacing 44 hinges in my kitchen. Luckily, the hinges fit prefectly and I only had to drill the 2 holes to attach it to the door. Use a 7/64 in. self-centering drill bit and use a straight edge long enough square up both hinges before drilling. I ended up activating only one of the two hinges for each door. They close perfectly, and if the slow close feature starts to wear out, I can switch on the other. Worth every penny and I should have done it sooner!

Given the price, these worked out great. I repainted the cabinets in my kitchen and had to remove all of the hold hardware, and figured while I was doing the project I'd replace the 15 year old hinges (some had worn out and wouldn't close). These were a direct drop in replacement for the old hinges and they work great. They're adjustable, so in theory you can control the rate at which they close. However, it doesn't seem to make a huge difference no matter what setting you have them on, and they tend to close a little on the slow side. Not sure that's really anything to complain about, but if you're particular about the speed, it's worth noting. I'll take that over doors slamming any day.

Updated kitchen my entire kitchen so beyond a couple coats of paint on the existing cabinets the cabinets also received new modern cabinet pulls along with replacing the external hinges with these Blum soft close hinges. Kitchen looks amazing and cabinets can no longer slam shut. No installation issues, just remember; slow is smooth and smooth is fast. I also installed Blum Blank Nickel-Plated Metal Cover Caps which is a nice finishing touch. However, I wish I had installed the nylon Blumotion 86 Degree Angle Restriction Hinge Clip on some of the cabinets to ensure that the painted cabinet doors did not contact the painted cabinets when opened to their full extent. I learned of this option after finishing installation and the nylon angle restrictors should be installed prior to attaching doors to cabinets. I will remove the doors and install the restrictors down the road on those cabinet doors needing restriction. No issues encountered with the product, happy with the product and highly recommend the product.

Easy to install (with Kreg jig bought together). Can adjust how fast hinge closes. Excellent addition to my kitchen remodel project.
