The blade does the job but the product needs to be tough so you can put some pressure on it. Otherwise you have to go over it many times

in the past i have tried to use other tools to cut acrylic sheet with mixed results, but i was lucky to find this on amazon its an excellent tool.

This knife was for my boyfriend. He needed a knife for cutting plastic parts. This knife is very weak. Not good for thick plastic but good for other cutting uses.

This thing is perfect, almost scarily good at ripping through plasticard, took about 3 uses before I nailed how to use it, and you apply so little pressure the wrist pain of cutting through plasticard with a scalpel/xacto knife was no more.I would HIGHLY recommend using a scalpel/xacto knife to score a line into the material first and use a steel rule to ensure a straight line.If you are a model maker, you need one of these tools.

A grate gadget to have if you are a model maker, it scores plastic sheet very well and makes snapping very easy to do up to a thickness of about 1.5 mm it also has convex and concave curves available which is very helpful for carving radii on plastic. Recommended

You definitely need one of these, if you’re going to try to scribe your acrylic sheet
