How frequent this should be changed? since its carbon impregnated.

Fluval says once a month... To me It all really depends on water change regime.

Do these also fit the fluval fx4?

Every single part/pad etc made for FX4/5/6 are interchangeable with the exception of the pump motor for FX4. Everything else and I mean everything else fits all FX series.

Can this be used for preparation for an Axolotl? And if so, is it recommended?

I am not sure. Using it helps in toxic ammonia. Your critter lives in murky, muddy water I believe. Ammonia can build up anywhere. You might get contact your pet store. Sorry

Expensive but they work great

Yes it's technically "premium" filter floss, but they work great, fits well and are easy to clean until they are decomposed.

Duur maar beter dan alternatieven

Duur maar wel goed. Bij gebruik van vervangende filters van een andere fabrikant ging mijn hoeveelheid flow flink achteruit
