Easy to use and install
Very easy to use and install, this dash cam works with my ID Buzz built-in USB C power port. It supports 360 surround view recording, also with auto time sync with GPS time. It uses super cap which make it more robust, no need to worry the battery goes bad. The wifi feature also comes handy, I could review the video from the phone app without getting out the SD card. I'm using 256GB SD card and it works very well. Overall, nice dashcam!

I guess my question to this dashcam is, why?
Before I start the review I have to talk about the stars. This thing is borderline 5 stars because it's special, there's nothing on the market similar to it, and and it does everything well. However it's also a 4 star because of the price tag and the "why would someone need a 360 degree dashcam given how awkward it is to mount", the price tag, and did I mention the price tag.Build quality is great, the material feels very nice, the cables and the accessories don't feel bad either. You do need to bring your own SD card for this particular config (w/ the rear camera, but nothing else in addition). Do note, it uses a USB-C on the dashcam and the rear camera to connect the rear camera to the actual dashcam unit, so if you already wired your car up with a barrel-jack, you'll have to repeat that again. The included 12V car charger does have an additional USB-A port so it's not 100% taking up a 12V port if you're not hardwiring this dashcam. You can change the controls to the dashcam with the built-in touchscreen, but it's actually pretty hard to do so and it's just easier to change the settings through the app.Image quality is pretty good, both cameras that contribute to the 360 degrees (front and back) have IR emitters for low-light black/white footage, although in dashcam mode the side facing the front of the car has IR mode disabled, while the side facing the car interior has it set to auto (this can be adjusted in the app, in handheld mode both sides have it set to auto). Sure the front-facing isn't the higher-resolution Sony IMX678, but given the nature of this dashcam, the IMX675 is a pretty good sensor to begin with. One downside to the rear camera I will say is the camera is mounted "below" the adhesives, not "side-by-side", which means it's taller when mounted to a more vertical windshield like you would in a SUV.Vantrue does use their own app, but I don't have any issues with their app. Sure it's a little bit proprietary but it's got all the settings for both dashcam and handheld, you don't need to register an account (take notes 70mai, this is how you build a real dashcam app), streaming/downloading videos from the app also works fine because it has 5Ghz wifi (instead of being stuck at 2.4Ghz-only).On a side note, one of the E360's party trick is the Portable Handheld Mount (which isn't included in this one), I did end up buying that, and yes it does work but I'm not sure about making your dashcam a part-time 360-degree panoramic camera.A major issue I have with this dashcam, because of how tall it is, they recommend you to mount it somewhere behind the interior rear-view mirror, but on some cars (for example my 2024 RAV4 Prime), that area is occupied by the driving-assist equipment. This means that I have to mount it somewhere off to the side where the 360-degree won't be dead center, and because of how tall the dashcam is, it's a bit difficult to find somewhere that's high enough to mount the dashcam where it isn't blocking your forward field-of-view, but not too high where it obstructs the interior camera.Overall, it's an expensive dashcam, part of it's selling point is an additional accessory (or you can buy a different version of the E360 called the ACE which is this same thing, with the rear cameras, but also including the handheld tripod as part of the package), and it's a bit awkward to install in the car. However it's a solid dashcam and if you need a dashcam that records 360 degrees and can find a way to install it where you can take advantage of that 360 degree view, there's nothing else on the market that's similar to this.

Wild View, Clean Footage, No BS Setup
This lil’ thing sees everything—front, sides, back, even the cabin. Super sharp during the day, bit meh at night for plates. App's smooth, install wasn’t bad. Not cheap, but def worth it for full 360 peace of mind.
