Fun activity
This thing was a blast to build with my son. My son is 7 years old and we built it together for a fun activity. Then we setup fun obstacles and started blasting um down from 10-20 feet away! Fun stuff.

Missing and broken parts - good customer service
Finally opened this to build with my boys and one of the pieces was broken. Thankfully I was able to contact the manufacturer who responded quickly and sent replacements for the broken piece to us! We've bought a lot of these in the past and they all have been amazing. I also wanted to give the folks at Pathfinders a shout out for having such awesome customer service. They sent me the part promptly and free of charge, along with a very kind hand-written note. Highly recommend this brand.

Great for Kids
Built two of these as a project with kids ranging from 6-8 years old. It was a great hands on activity to get them off their ipads. They needed some help with understanding the steps, parts of the gluing and getting the twine tied properly. Once it was built the had hours of fun propelling marshmallows, chunks of bark and clay balls in the backyard. Very sturdy so far.

Weekend Kit, longer to do more.
To begin with I love Pathfinders wooden kits but their not without their drawbacks. On this kit in particular their were some fit issues and like others I feel the instructions could be a little clearer. Having said that with some sanding and other minor adjustments, I’m going to stain this and I added wheels, this really is a great kit. The box states that this kit is four 14 or up but at a minimum I’d recommend 16+. I’ve been building models for over thirty years and as I said even I had a few issues.

I sent this kit to my nine year old grandson. The kit's pieces are sturdy and well made. It was easy to put together. He has had hours of fun using the catapult.

Love it!
This was relatively easy to put and so much fun for my son to play with! Great for staging battles with toy soldiers, wooden elephants, and even his plastic dragons.
