Weird pink color
These are a heavy plastic construction, and they are rated for up to 660 Watts (same rating as a porcelain socket) per stamping on the socket as well as the Legrand website. According to the photos these are supposed to be white. I bought two and both are a strange pale pink color. See photo of my socket in direct sunlight on white printer paper. For my project, the sockets are not going to be seen so it's not a deal-breaker. But for anyone using these in projects where you can see the socket, be aware that the color is not really white. I prefer ceramic or porcelain sockets, but would only be using 100 Watt bulbs in mine, so if they discolor, crack, burn, or melt, I'll update this review as needed.

Useful tool for playing with lighting
I use these for setting up lighting prototypes, to see if an idea I have for lighting an area is going to work out or not. Because of the exposed wire contacts, its not the sort of thing you would leave sitting out where someone's fingers can find the 120 VAC. There isn't much detail I can give on a light bulb holder, other than to say that the quality seems good, the bulb base and wiring screws are standard electrical fixture quality, they don't come loose or bend like a "dollar store lamp". Haven't had any problems with the mounting hols splitting or cracking despite repeated project use. Overall, it functions as expected, no problems.

Compact however with connecters exposed. Shock hazard.
These light bulb holders do not meet code as is. Must be installed in a protective box, otherwise the installation would violate the electrical codes of the county or city.

Great little bulb holder !
Looks great ---- just what I wanted !I like it ! Looks like very good quality ---- good solid construction ---- very easy to mount and hook-up ! I use it for science experiments where I need to light a small light bulb -- works great for that !But this is a plastic holder -- I wouldn't use a high-watt bulb in it -- those bulbs get very hot and could melt the plastic !This also has exposed hook-up terminals--so be very careful with this (I wouldn't use around children) !
