Fumoto Original F107S LC-10 Lever Clip FS-Series Engine Oil Drain Valve, 1 Pack

I've used a similar one in the past, its sound, doesn't leak. I will note, I ordered this for a Ford Explorer 2.0 engine, it has a slight indention and inset into the pan, and this will not fit without the extension. Would have been nice if this info was available, other than "you might need the extension".

I really got tired of trying to aim where the oil goes and this has greatly helped! hooked up a tube and filled up a 5qt bottle. made it easier to recycle instead of draining into a pan, then back into a bottle. Highly recommend! Depending on car you may need an extension.

Fits my 2018 Colorado diesel and allows for quick, clean oil drains and sampling. Easy to install, operate and it securely closes. I use their clear plastic tubing to direct the drain flow.

With each of my vehicles I always replace the factory drain plug with a Fumoto. It's a no mess solution. Sold my toyota sequoia and pulled the Fumoto before trading it in so I can reuse it in the future. Purchased a new vehicle and just did my first oil change and installed it. If you're worried about the valve getting hit and opening...use Fumoto's advise and get a compression clamp from Ace hardware for under a buck. I use that solution on my vehicles.

This is the 3rd Fumoto valve I’ve purchased and installed on my personally owned vehicles. This latest one was installed on my 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500. They work great and allow for much quicker oil changes with less mess. I’ve never had an issue with any of them after proper installation.

So this item is not specific to a GMC 5.3 engine so you have to get the adapter... this Fumoto application is not specific to the GMC recessed application. A GMC 5.3 is a GMC 5.3......Their web site gives two options to make this work , but doesn't differentiate as to which to use......have to guess?? Confused at least. Drained oil and not have to order adapter and do at next oil change....PITA Every other thing on the engine is specific to engine size, year, etc...except these guys disappointed, but they probably don't care as they got their money.

This is probably the 8th fumoto valve i've installed, I'm the unofficial family mechanic, and every vehicle that i end up changing the oil in in my garage gets a fumoto. They're so easy to use and convenient, the initial investment pays for itself in saved time after the first oil change.
