Now my daily shaver
I don’t always write reviews, but I’ve been very impressed with this razor. For reference, I have DE razors from Gillette, bevel, 2 from Viking, I’ve used one blade and leaf. I bought this because I wanted something that would help me see the blade alignment better, and the gold I thought would provide contrast, which it does, and the price was certainly right. But so far I’m blown away by the build quality and how it shaves. This is now my daily shaver. I pair this with an Astra blade. First off, this is narrower than my other DE razors, which really helps me in the neck area because I have a whorl. The alignment is perfect, just the edges where you hold the blade while handling end up extending outside the razor, which provides the narrower head and is not a problem at all for shaving. I find this razor to be an excellent balance of the closeness I need for my line of work, and gentleness. It’s light in hand, which helps me be light while shaving, keeping nicks few and far between. I’d recommend this to anyone, and that’s before considering how affordable it is. I haven’t had this for long enough to speak about longevity, but at this price point I’m not super concerned about that. That being said though, it seems to be built as well or better than the other razors I own and which I paid more for.

This gold razor punches above its weight!
There's nothing special about this razor except that it punches way above its weight. This shaves like a $30-40 Merkur for about a third of that price.Weishi is a Chinese shaving manufacturer who makes razors and accessories for other well-known brands and also sells their own razors. For $12, it's a solid razor with a butterfly (twist to open the top) mechanism. It also comes in gunmetal or chrome, but I like brass so I went with the gold finish. If you pull up the gunmetal version, you will find lots of additional reviews. The twist-to-open mechanism works well and holds the razor blade firmly in place. The handle has a nice weighty feel. This is a great first razor or gift.I don't recommend the free 5-pack of blades it comes with, though. I'm using Derby blades at the moment, but there are plenty of great blade manufacturers out there. Go buy a variety pack (such as https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00UN0LUWE) and see what blade works best with your skin.

Love it.
The handle is very nice and works well with better blades than the ones it comes with. I get a closer shave on my head and face than disposable and the ingrown hairs on the back of my head heal up when using a safety razor vs a 3+ blade style razor and the cost can't be beat, just do short slow strokes with the razor and let the handles weight and the sharpness of your blades do the work.

I’ll never use multi-blade disposable again.
I have not used a razor in at least 10 years. I hate shaving and don’t mind a beard. I recently joined the volunteer fire department in town and now have to keep a hair free face. Got this to try it out and will never go back to using the multi-blade disposable razors again. When used with sharp blades, this thing is amazing! It may not be as close but it sure is a helluva lot more comfortable. Great with a badger brush and some feather blades.

THROW AWAY THE BLADES!
The razor is great, no issues, but the Weishi blades that come with it are garbage. I tried to use one and then threw the rest away. It was like dragging broken glass across my face. When you order the razor, order some Astra blades. They are good and cheap, around $7 for 100 blades.

Awesome razor, terrible blades.
Im very impressed. Besides being beautiful it is heavy duty metal and the open-close feels like it will last forever. Ive left it in the shower (in the water) several times now over the last 2 months and no rusting or other indications that the finish is wearing off. I bought a parker for my husband and the blades for it are way better.

golden shaves
I was drawn to this razor mostly for the fact that it is long lasting and zero waste. Also as a woman, was getting frustrated with our over priced and stupid looking options. I've noticed with using this I have yet to experience razor burn, the shave is very clean. Just remember to go slow when using, otherwise you might nick your leg. This razor looks beautiful, love that this one is gold. It has a good weight and is easy to use once you get the hang of it! I would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for an environmentally friendly razor and no annoying razor burn.

Nice! Works well.
This was my first safety razor. I really like it, and only gave myself one tiny nick first try.It comes with blades which is awesome, and they’re easy to insert. The only thing I don’t like is that the arms that hold the blade in seem a little bit loose and I wonder how well they will hold up over time.I’m not sure how the arm looseness compares to other safety razors, though. Overall, satisfied with my purchase.

70s bling. Just Like a gold Seiko
Nice shaver, love the long handle and nicely weighted. Head of shaver seems a little shorter then other brands so blade (side not the sharp edges) sticks out a little from the side. Over all not too shabby.
