Worked Flawlessly For Me
Used it for 2 weeks in July of 2017 in China and Hong Kong. It worked great in an unlocked cell phone. But would not work in a phone that I had that was still locoed from ATT. But if you read the directions that is made clear. So get your phone unlocked! I carry two phones for work and so I had one unlocked previous to leaving.As far as apps and everything go all my US android apps worked just fine. Google worked, What's App worked, Google maps, Twitter, ect.I installed a VPN on my other devices and that allowed those other apps to work too. Even used my phone and this card to create a mobil hotspot and everything worked fine.If you want a data card with no US phone number this a good option. I had data and could make calls on Skype and We Chat and What's App all the time.

Poor coverage in the remote areas in China
It worked perfectly when I arrived in Taiwan. Just installing the new sim card, it works automatically (no set up needed). Unfortunately, When I was in China after the Taiwan, the 4G LTE data (3gig) quickly ran out, and it switched to 3G data, which only works sporadically. China Unicom has poor coverage in the remote mountain areas of Sichuan, much worse than the China Mobil network, which my friend was using. suggest buying China mobil sim cared when you are in China.

Works as advertised. Easy to setup.
Slipped the card into my unlocked iPhone 7 before boarding the plane in Seattle. When I landed in Shanghai 12 hours later, I got a welcome text message with instructions. I didn't have to do anything. It worked like a charm. I'm getting good reception everywhere. Facebook and Google work well with pretty decent speed.

Works as advertised.
Used it for twitter, WeChat and other web-based items including emails while in China. Put it in my iPhone and used it with no problems.

It worked great, until....
It actually worked. I was in China during the month September and this card worked with my samsung galaxy s9+. Got on facebook and instagram with no problem in mainland China. But one thing need to be aware of is that after you used the "fair usage" the internet speed became VERY VERY VERY slow, but if you're just using it for chatting app like wechat, it is completelyfine. It drove me nuts because of that, but before that, i worked like a charm. I would buy it again next time.

The only way to get data in China
The SIMM card is easy to install. To activate, you must have WiFi at the first location after you landed in China. The data is fast 4G type, and 3G at high speed was sufficient for us to do navigation in China for 2 weeks. NOTE: there is NO phone service with this card.
