I recently bought the UniHobby DIY Dollhouse Kit with Dust Proof Cover, and it’s been a blast!My kids 12 and 18 are spending time together building it, and I was able to get some quiet time at the house.The kit comes with everything you need to build a charming little dollhouse, and the 1:24 scale makes it feel incredibly detailed. This was my first miniatures project, and I’m not sure it’s for me. It’s a good kit, and I’m sure if you have the patience and experience, it would be a great hobby. I do not have the patience to hold a tiny piece of wire in place on the side of a plastic bead to make it into a handle for a lemonade pitcher. (Kudos to anyone who was able to make that happen.) I also was unable to cut out the tiny clock hands. I did forgo trying to glue the fabric in most instances because my sewing skills far exceed my gluing skills. And while we’re on the subject of glue, the tiny container included with this set wasn’t nearly enough. If I had to do it over, I would use it only on the walls and furniture and use Elmers for the paper gluing, of which there’s a lot. Small binder clips were a big help holding things in place as they dried, and push pins helped make the slippers. In all, I wish the instructions were a little clearer. I have leftover pieces, and I’m sure they go somewhere. Also, I haven’t figured out how to finish the lighting because there are short wires on each side that won’t reach one another. Luckily, I’m married to an Electrical Engineer who’s bound by law to help me with these things.In all, it was a cute little project for my 12yo and me. It took about a week and a half. It’s a little janky and mistakes were made, but it’s pretty cute.

for starters, i think this kit will be a bit overwhelming for anyone who doesn't have experience with lots and lots of TINY pieces. i agree with other reviewers that it's best to start with smaller, one room kits! however, i have experience with papercraft so this was manageable.this kit was so much fun to make! i've been eyeing it for a few years and finally had the time to make it over the course of about 2 weeks. the satisfaction of turning on the lights is unparalleled.overall, the instructions were clear and easy to understand with pictures. some of the pieces were hard to find since each zip loc bag had a bunch, but i emailed customer support and they were very helpful!i highly recommend this if you have a lot of free time on your hands, and you're willing to have a messy work area!

Broken pieces.. horrible instructions...pieses very hard to identify and find.. have put together many of these little houses and this was by far the worst!! Not happy at all!

I love these kits! I’ve made this kit two different times now.

At first, I thought it was overwhelming when I saw the number of pieces included in the kit; some are very tiny especially the embellishments. But then I thought up of a system to get myself organized and I am now ready to put the pieces together. There are no pre-made tables, beds, flowers, etc. Every piece in this kit has to be put together by you; as though you were an architect and furniture maker. You'll be doing it from scratch. You will need a ruler with centimeter readings (because each piece has to be measured), tweezers, and though they include a small plastic bottle of glue, i had to buy another. Packets are labeled A-H but pieces within aren't and so I would suggest that before you even try to put the house together that you open up each packet one at a time and by guiding yourself with the manual, that you label each piece in pencil with the corresponding letter and number stated. In that way, when it comes time to construct the items in the house, you won't have to hunt, peck or measure for the correct sized piece. By doing it this way, you can also see if any pieces are missing and then you can order them from the company Unihobby. Amazon includes their contact numbers. When ordering missing parts, make sure you include the Amazon order number.

Attic Dream is a great kit that is in the style of a modern apartment. It is a fun kit for older children and adults and contains everything you need to complete the project. All you need is a pair of scissors, a ruler and glue. Tweezers are helpful for small items. I always glue each finished item in place as you would in a diorama.I have put together quite a few kits, and this is a high quality kit. The wall covering and other paper items are printed on good, thick, glossy paper. The paper templates help to cut fabric items to the right size. The dust cover pieces are included. The instruction book is in English and has good, clear photos for each step. There is a photo and ID for each item in the kit at the beginning of the instruction book so that in the instruction section you can find the proper piece for each step. These kits are relaxing, fun, creative, and produce a beautiful finished display!
