Finally a Camera Viewable from Current Web Browsers (Chrome, Firefox and Safari)
I purchased this camera because the manufacturer stated that it works with the latest browsers without the need for a plugin. I have owned a dozens of Foscam and Hickvision HD cameras. My Foscam and Hickvision cameras no longer work with Chrome, Safari or Firefox because the camera manufactures are not providing the necessary changes to their firmware to work with the latest more secure web browsers. They are instead continuing to use browser plugins which no longer work with Chrome, Firefox or Safari. When the camera arrived, I connected it to my LAN using a POE injector (required) and used the Axis IP_Utility tool to determine the IP address assigned by the DHCP server on my LAN. Once I knew the IP Address and the default login information, I was able to use Chrome to connect to the camera to complete the configuration. This whole process was very easy and worked flawlessly. No plugin was required! Once the configuration was complete which included changing the default ID and password, I was able to display H264 video in my browser by simply accessing the camera IP address from any of my browsers. This camera is more expensive than the Foscam and Hickvision cameras, but this is clearly a case where you get what you pay for, including firmware that is frequently updated to keep up with the latest security enhancements to the popular web browsers.I highly recommend this camera.

Love the camera
Love the camera, it works great. I'm going to purchase a 4MP for the next one but other than that I found the onboard software for management and reporting to be very useful and intuitive and the POE setup was a breeze.

10 of 11 ordered worked fine. One however, was non-functional
Waiting on seller to replace. It says there is a 3 year warranty...

Up-to-date software for security and compatibility.
Excellent quality, both the hardware and the software! I always wanted to get Acis but the price gave me pause for home use. So I went cheaper. Now, after saving a few bucks, the software in my chapter cameras is not maintained so security flaws are a concern. Starting with the issues of plugins with up-to-date browsers. Now I will end up paying more as I slowly deprecate my original investment. So if you are weβre I was a while back I would advise considering Acis first, even if you start small.
