Mambe 100% Waterproof Pet Blanket (Large 58"x84", Cappuccino)

It was hard to find something that would go on the bed to prevent our big dog's drool from soaking our sheets when we are at work. I was thrilled to find this. We got the cappicino color and it was exactly as shown. We ordered the Large for a Queen bed and it only covers the top of the mattress. That is the job that it is meant to do, but it won't cover the bed like a regular blanket or how it is shown in the photo. Special instructions for washing because it is waterproof, but tolerable.

I bought this to cover a futon. It fits perfectly. I had a cat who thought this was a good place to pee. Thankfully I had a waterproof mattress pad covering the mattress. Once I put this cover on the futon ( after washing everything ) no more incidents. We use this futon as a couch. The cover is soft and comfortable. I love sitting on it. The only waterproof test I've had is the glass of red wine I spilled. It is waterproof! I washed the cover once so far. I hung it outside to dry and then put it in the dryer to get cat hair off of it. It washes well. I think I'll buy a second to have as a spare. It is pricy however worth the price. One would never guess it is waterproof. I bought the cappuccino color. The reverse side is black which is just fine as you don't see it anyway.

I prefer the Crypton Super Throver to this one. The Crypton is two layers thick. This one is three, but the inner layer is slick plastic, and the outer layers slide around on it. I don't much like that behavior, particularly if you're putting the blanket on the floor. The top of the blanket just slides around too much. The fabric is indeed softer than the Crypton, but my dog doesn't seem to care much one way or the other.

Really does what it says it does! We have a cat that wants to claim all our furniture as his own by peeing on it. Needless to say, this wasn't going over too well. After hearing about the Mambe product, my husband and I thought, "What have we got to lose?" So, we bought one to try it out, and after seeing how well it works, we quickly bought two more. Because it takes so long to dry in the dryer, I would recommend drying it on the lowest setting until it is just damp, then hanging it over a rail to finish drying. The reason being, is that if the membrane (protective layer in the middle) is exposed to too much heat, its ability to keep moisture from leaking through to the furniture might be compromised. With a little TLC, this amazing blanket will last you a long time!

I tried a few "waterproof" blankets. They are either not really "waterproof" or not comfortable enough to put on the bed. This blanket was more expensive than most of other pet blanket but it is excellent. I have an old beagle and she loves to sleep on the our bed. She occasionally has accidents and I was getting tired of washing all bedding every time she has an accident. It not only looks and feels like a regular blanket but also truly "WATERPROOF". After she had an accident, I just wipe with dry paper towel and then clean with wet paper towel a bit. I am thinking about getting another one for covering the sofa. BTW, I have a queen size bed and bought Large. It does not cover the pillow area if you want to hang the blanket like show on the picture.

I have an 8 month old kitten that decided my bed was her bed so she started "marking" her spot. I purchased a large waterproof Mambe pet blanket to protect my queen bed. The waterproof blanket is more costly than a regular pet throw, however, it is less costly when I factored in replacement of the mattress, mattress pad, sheets, and bedspread. For me it is worth it. The first day I put it on the bed, my kitten "marked" her spot on the new blanket. While I am not happy about her territorial behavior, I felt less stressed with the new waterproof blanket. I washed and dried the blanket as noted in manufacturer instructions - drying a waterproof blanket is a bit of an art. Overall, I am very pleased with the size, color, construction, and utility of the waterproof pet blanket as a bed protector. My kitty loves sleeping on it too.

I've seen some negative comments about these but, in my experience, I can't figure out why. I have THREE of them and just purchased my fourth. One of my dogs has a small "leak", and just as a precaution, I put this on the floor/carpet when she feels like laying there, one on her dog bed (which is a TempurPedic, so I don't want it ruined), and one on my bed. I've had no trouble washing OR drying whatsoever. I do dry it on low and sometimes I just throw it over the deck railing in the warmer months and let it air dry (which happens quickly). Highly recommend this item.

Works great. Saved the bedding on our queen bed. I got this (Large size) to cover a queen bed where one of our cats decided this was a great place to pee. It covers about 2/3 of the top of the bed. This works great for us since the cat targeted the lower half of the bed. I wash it on gentle cycle and low dry. It has lasted many years so far. The cats still love to sleep on it and cat hair also washes off easily. I use eco-spray to remove any urine or hurls and oxyclean in the detergent. Never had a wash problem. just use gentle cycles and lowest heat.
