Gr8 little dictionary!
Just gr8! I’m just reading it for extra vocabulary, in addition to my Joi Barrios Tagalog language books for all the grammar.

Handy little book!
Convenient size, although not quite pocket-sized (a bit too tall for that). Simple to use and direct with the definitions. Great little supplement to anyone studying Tagalog (or, as in my case, re-learning).

My mom loves her new Dictionary!
I never thought i could find a tagalog-english dictionary here! my mom, have an old dictionary but she left it in my sister's house in La and never send it to her in Az. My mom kept on asking me about it. So i decided to buy her one here. She called me today and told me she was so happy to received it. its very light since its the same height and width of a pocket book! she can always bring it with her. She said its so easy to understand it. Though its just limited and maybe 200 words, she still loved it! thank you.

Just okay.... with sometimes frustrating omissions
I'd say it's just okay for the price. The frustrating thing about the dictionary is that some words are not in both sides of the book. For example, on the English side, you can find "why" (Tagalog "bakit") but on the Tagalog side you cannot find "bakit." So, it's not always helpful when you're trying to translate from Tagalog to English. I think it's safe to assume that a word like "bakit" would be considered fairly common or, at a minimum, important in Tagalog, so it just looks like a bad decision by the author. Uncertain how many of these bad decisions were made.

not meant to be exhaustive..
If you are looking for a good basic one, easy to carry around, look no further. This is a nice handy dictionary. If you are wanting an exhaustive dictionary, obviously don't get a pocket one. This fits the caliber like it should.

It is a great way for people to learn Tagalog words and for ...
Tagalog pocket dictionary for my Filipino relative going to the Philippines. It is a great way for people to learn Tagalog words and for people to look up words. It is easy to read and easy to look up words you are looking for. It goes from English to Tagalog and vice versa. I would recommend this dictionary by Renato Perdon. I hope I can pick up a few words to use in my vocabulary.
