I'm sure the arrangements are beautiful and of musical quality
I'm sure the arrangements are beautiful and of musical quality, but all I was looking were Xmas carols in conventional 4-part arrangements in a lower voice. (Besides I could never keep this tightly bound album on the piano rack. Would that it were loose-leaf. )No one in my family can persistently hit high "E"s. If such a collection exists may I return this classical concert version for such a family album for a bunch of baritone grandsons, a quintessential alto wife, and all the soprano relatives with creaky tops? Nice Book
The level is more advanced for both the singer and the pianist/teacher. The arrangements are quite nice and I like the challenge. The adult singers are also challenged and like the twists and turns.

An excellent collection of rep that varies in level and style
An excellent collection of rep that varies in level and style, to make it useful for both the student and the seasoned singer. There are even a few nice duets, and pieces with obbligato. I'm so glad I bought this, and I recommended it to all my singer friends. It gets boring doing the same tired arrangements, Christmas season after season! The only thing is that the arrangement of "In The Bleak Midwinter" is-- um, slightly awful. More than slightly awful. Good try, but. #fail

Like another reader mentioned
Like another reader mentioned, this says 'Low voice' but a lot of the songs are at the top half of the staff. The tessitura for most of these songs is more of a medium/ medium-high range, not low. Very few notes in the melodies are below the treble clef staff overall. I am a classical singer myself, but as a low voice I rarely sing F/F# at the top of the staff (and the 'optional' A-natural above!) that some of the songs include in this edition...!

An excellent collection of Christmas repertoire.
This is an excellent collection of Christmas repertoire for classical singers. The arrangements of songs in the back of the book do not have the traditional harmonies, but the rest of the book has the traditional harmonies that most singers prefer. I have the high key in my studio library as well.

An interesting collection
A lot of good pieces in this book. Unfortunately, many of them are written in keys with 3 or 4 flats or sharps which, for me, makes them difficult to play on my violin.

An excellent resource for Christmas Solos!
Some standards and some otherwise unfamiliar. I especially enjoy the solo arrangement of the Cornelius pieces. Definitely a good book to have in your library.
