This drain is far and away the best I've ever found, and I'm honestly not sure why more drain assemblies are not designed like this. I bought this specific drain for two primary reasons: * The ENTIRE pipe is one piece, where many have a threaded tailpiece that screws into the strainer. Being one-piece makes for fewer leak points. * The retainer nut is VERY tall, which makes installation incredibly easy (and far easier to use a wrench than the typically thin competitors, but hand-tightening is all that is needed). Indeed, installation was a snap, and didn't require any tools, plumber's putty, or thread sealants at all. The included silicone pipe gasket completely seals the pipe to the sink, which many if not most fail to do. Performance-wise, the design is utterly brilliant. As other reviewers have pointed out, the drain stopper is very large. While some don't like this, I find it very nice-looking, elegant, and upscale. Water drains VERY quickly, with no backup or unwanted filling of the sink whatsoever. Cleaning is insanely easy. One literally only has to grab the stopper and lift it right out of the drain assembly. The wide cage design of the strainer makes it super easy to clean out any debris. The stopper also works flawlessly if you need to fill the sink with water. Press once to engage, press once to release. The feel of the mechanism exudes quality, and is very satisfying to engage. There is no leaking when the stopper is engaged, which seems to defy the ease with which it gets installed (literally place it in the drain...that's it). With all of these accolades, why is does my headline read, "ALMOST perfect"? The one minor flaw I see with this is the curious omission of a slip washer to go between the brass retainer nut and the bottom silicone gasket. Such a washer (which many others have) would prevent the bottom gasket from experiencing a torsional load from the rotation of the brass retainer nut, and ensure only a linear compression, thereby preventing the bottom gasket from bunching up / stretching and potentially introducing a leak point. I am so impressed with the one unit I purchased that I'm going to purchase four more for the remaining bathroom sinks in my house. This is seriously awesome.

This is a well made, and in my opinion, much better alternative to the "K" name brand one from the orange big box store. This is all metal construction with large openings and the added bonus of being 1-1/2in in diameter to match that of the house's plumbing. The larger size drain with the ample holes make draining the sink significantly quicker with no gurgling or other noises. This was a perfect fit for the big box store sink we purchased for our bathroom and installation was a breeze with no special tools required. We wanted a pop up sink drain and this does a far better job then the cheap drop in retrofits. This had minimal water retention where the retrofit help lots of water back in the sink. We also found that the catch screen does a good job if something is mistakenly dropped down the drain. Just a simple pull up on the stopper and your item is right there.

Great quality. Seems to be made of high quality components and materials. Brass and Stainless Steel. Installation is made a bit easier by the silicone gaskets. Installation doesn't call for any plumbers putty or silicone sealant. No leaks, after my install. I used some synthetic grease on the threads to allow all the gaskets to slide on easily, and tighten the nut only hand tight. No wrench was needed. Works well, and easy to operate. I have installed other drains in sinks over the years. Always need silicone sealant on the threads below the sink, or water will run around the thread and leak out the bottom. With this drain, the sealant is not needed. First time ever I have found this to be the case. Time will tell. Instructions say to "Feel free to Contact them" ... but include no contact information.

Excellent drain, very good quality, easy to install and all metal. Good looking and sturdy. Very happy with this purchase.

I was looking for a replacement for my 2-year old Crosswater brushed nickel pop up drain - we live in an area with very hard water that had destroyed the finish. After trying several units, I found this Regal. The Nickel is not quite as "gray" as I would like. It looks more like a chrome with some slight brushing. The difference is that the Crosswater is over $200 and does not include a drain basket. This unit is all metal and includes an easy to remove drain basket catcher. At about $25, I can replace these every two years (if they wear like the Crosswater did) by just pulling off the top and substituting a new one. Install was dirt-simple with just a plumbers pliers. The seals work perfectly, no leaking and the basket catch is a nice addition. Pros: - Easy install - Basket catcher - easy to clear Cons: - Not exactly "Brushed Nickel", more like a slightly brushed steel. Recommendation: This well-made replacement pop-up should compliment just about any brushed or satin handleset, but don't expect an exact match.

I replaced an old corroded drain stop with this. The only hard part was getting the old brass nut off. I had to get down under the sink with a wrench to do that. Once it was off, putting in the new stopper was done by feel while standing, and it was easy. Hand tightening is all that was needed. The brass nut is much larger allowing fingers to grip it easily. No leaks. It looks really nice. The very nice feature is the hair trap. Unplugging drains clogged with hair is a real nuisance and dirty job. I hope this works. If you have a sink with an overflow (hole(s)) in the basin, make sure you select the drain for it.

This is a high quality solid construction drain . The drain also has high quality thick silicone gaskets on the top side of sink and bottom side of sink , silicone gaskets are higher quality then the cheap thin rubber ones the last drain kit I ordered had .this drain also has a very thick solid brass nut to tighten the drain to sink ,the whole drain tube is brass and the pop up parts are also brass , brass plumbing parts are superior they last a lifetime.The packaging is also high quality I was very impressed and I am not easily impressed this came tightly packed in form fitting foam with a soft cloth bag around it ,they even put a plastic cap with tissue paper in between on the top of the drain piece to protect the beautiful finish .I got the oil rubbed and it is beautiful !! I did install it and it works great,it drains extremely fast unlike others I have used in the past ,and I love the push button drain stop every drain should be push button if you ask me they just work better last longer and they don't have all the extra parts that come out of adjustment leaving you with a drain stop that ends up not draining properly or not draining at all .it comes with or without overflow,I purchased the one without overflow because of my sink setup be sure to order the correct one otherwise the drain will not work it will leak, if you need the one without overflow and order the one with overflow, if you do by mistake you can always return it and get correct one . You will not be disappointed with this product.
