Tactical Overlord Ammo Can - Waterproof Stackable Military Survival Storage Box

It DOES have the odor of fresh paint. On a scale of 1-10, I would give the paint job a 2 - thickly applied, with quite a few runs/drips. Thick enough that it chips easily. Not worth the $50 (with shipping) in my opinion. Have purchased new cans where the paint job looked nice and smooth, like a powder coat. That is not these cans.The waterproof seal looks new. The lid can be difficult to open. This is due to paint along the rim I think.

Good quality... strong. I had an old surplus 30-cal can from about 15 years ago, and it has held up great. Since these are in new condition, they should last you decades. I plan on getting more at some point, and the fact that these came in a bundle, saved money. They came in good condition, including the internal seals. The packing was good - the 30-cal is inside the larger 50-cal box, with the lid detached inside, and they included a cardboard insert between to keep them from getting scratched.If you have kids, I'd recommend the locks you can get for these. The cans arrived with no issues. The only thing worth mentioning is that the cans smell from the paint. The paint was done evenly. No drips along the side or blemishes. It's definitely stronger than the plastic ones I have. Not that I'm going to be lugging bullets all over the place. The small can takes boxes of 40 caliber perfectly. The bigger will handle 9mm. Maybe I'll try mixing them up in the big can to see what pattern of boxes maximizes the amount of boxes I can fit in. I thought I had more boxes of 9mm rounds so I have to buy some more to try it out.Expensive for ammo cans but worth it when comparing sturdiness to the plastic boxes.

Cans are new and are come in the typical olive green color as pictured. They seal tight, which I love. When they lock down, there is no question that the cans are sealed. They feel durable,Just a though for those who will add the lock unit sold by another manufacturer on Amazon, this is not a knock against either manufacturer, On the 50-cal can, I had to use a dremel to open the hole on the latching flap a bit more as the tolerance was too tight for the bolt to fit through. I would prefer to not have to put a lock on the cans, but kids can get get curious and I'm locking up the ammo to add a measure of safety.

These cans arrived in a timely manner but I could immediately tell these were not "new" cans. The hinge on the one is oxidized and corrosion starting. It appears like the cans were re-painted and in a rushed horrible fashion with big globs of paint in multiple areas. There are scratches all over the cans with some paint scrapped off in spots. The seals are really what gave away that these were likely refurbished cans. The seals had the typical white crusty look with cracking dry rot that you find in used army surplus cans at the local outdoor stores. The only reason I originally bought these, considering the higher than average price, was because I was expecting a new quality product, not a refurbished one. Save your money, I will be returning these. The cans that arrived were in a box from solid tactical, so I left the same review on their listing.

Metal cans for sure. Lids seemed a bit warped at first, but pretty much worked out the fit with opening and closing a couple of times. A very tight top fit, which is what you want. They got a 4 cause I felt they were on the line between mil spec 1 & 2. I will buy the brand again because my other purchases from this brand have had no problems. And you can't silly because you got a tight fitting lid seal.

Who knows? Maybe the metal will shield my GoPro from that EMP or killer solar flare so I can film the zombie apocalypse with my last bit of stored battery juice!In case you are bleary eyed from online shopping and are having trouble picturing the dimensions, the large one is about the size of a car battery, or three reams of standard letter sized paper turned on their side. The smaller one comes shipped inside the larger one.These seem quite sturdy and mine came with no significant dings or scratches. I didn't want them to look too perfect. Yep, I know there are places to get used ones very cheap, and the mil markings look cool on those, but if you actually want to use them as a watertight, bounce around, stack-on-top of storage box, I think these are a good choice.Shipping was insanely fast. Zombie kit being compiled as we speak.

The ammo cans will work but won't win any awards for looks. They are beaten up and the paint isn't even and lots of place where they missed paint and deep scratches. I would have sent them back but needed them for this weekend so are stuck with them.From the WeaponWise( While the ammo cans are new and unused, the manufacturing process used to make them does allow for some uneven painting and scratches. You can see this information in the Amazon Listing. However, this does not affect the quality or usage of the can.I would offer to send you replacement cans but I'm not sure if your experience would be any different.
