You never know if a product like this is going to meet your needs. It could be too hot or cold, it could smell weird, it might be too stiff for a cat to lay on, it could be too loud (my cats hate loud plastic crinkly noises - just cat things, I guess).But this product hit the sweet spot. Nice, constant heat. No smell that I can pick up. My big 18-pounder loves it, and the waterproof covering is more like a fabric than a sheet of plastic. 10/10, would recommend.PS my 87-year-old mom inadvertently sat on it when I had it on a chair, and she loved it, too

I have two small dogs and in the winter they get a bit chilly at night in their kennels. I place this under a blanket and it’s kept them so warm! They love it so much that sometimes during the day I’ll take it out of the kennel to plug in at the office and they run right up and snuggle on it. It’s easy to clean which is a plus!

I put her bed over the heating pad and she loves sleeping there. She’s rarely out of it. My only question is that the instructions say to not fold it, but it is packed and delivered in the mail folded.

This is the second of these pads I bought (2 cats) for the cold weather here in the mountains. Yesterday, for the first time, I tried the high temp setting (the 3 settings are off, low, high). My wife suggested just to double check the heat from the pad and boy was I glad I did. The mat became so hot, I could not leave my hand on it. Luckily. I had a kitty cushion on top of the mat.The intensity of the heat was a total surprise and will never use the high setting again.Other then that, I do like this warmer.

I bought this for my cats who enjoy other beds but they would not use this one so I had to return it. I think the type of material just didn’t suit them. They seem to prefer softer, furrier materials. Cats are finicky, so your mileage may vary, but my cats at least, gave it a big paws down.

Forecast had us down in the negative digits which we rarely see where I live. I take care of A stray, he has kitty house on the covered porch. I must admit I went ahead and put him in the garage during the three days of horrible cold but he hardly ever left his little house. Temps are milder now and he's back on the porch and loving his little kitty bed. I felt in there several times with heating on high and it was just warm enough to where his body heat would create a cozy atmosphere. It did not overheat, nor was it not hot enough. You'll need a pet bed or some other covering placed on or around the pad if you're using it by itself but if it goes under the cushion or mat in a pet bed it is perfect. I'm very happy with the purchase.

I bought this along time ago, but I have to go back and say how much joy it has brought to my cat. She is on there all the time, and practically smiling. This is some of the best money I’ve ever spent.

Ole Duke enjoys it all year 'round, sometimes lying on it fully, and sometimes only barely - but he loves having the option.One night I tried placing Duke's pad behind my back while watching TV, and I was struck by the smooth, gentle warmth of this thing, and the luxury of its large size. I ordered myself one. That was about four years ago, So we have two pads - one for Duke's couch/bed, and one in our TV room. They both run continuously, and they both fail after a couple of years, at which time I replace them. We just love them!
