When I first ordered these slate coasters I thought they were chipping but it’s just through the travel to get to my house. However after months of usage I can say that these are some of my favorite coasters. They’re durable and they look really nice. If I ever wanted to paint them or customize them, I can do so.The coaster themself do end up drying the water after some time, but it’s not immediate absorption. There will still be water buildup, but there won’t be any spillage onto the table.These coasters hold the big mason jars so they’re pretty wide.

These fit in very nicely with my black and oak theme in my living room. They're lightweight but sturdy and have a nice texture to them.

However: Stains easily, and sides are A little sharp especially if you have small children.

These are great coasters for use in an outdoor area. I purchased them for a new stone patio after we discovered that spills and condensation are absorbed by the capstone seating and can leave rings and stains. These are sturdy, rustic in appearance and the holder is well made for outdoor use.

These coasters are the perfect size. They hold up well and look good with any decor. They do get a little sticky with spills but clean up well.

I am very happy with these coasters. They, along with the holder, are very elegant yet simple which is exactly what I was looking for. I thought they were very reasonably priced especially for a set of 8. Highly recommend!

At first glance, these coasters seem thinner than the images. They seem like they could lack in durability over time and use but that remains to be seen.They are also more of a grey than a black. This isn't a huge problem because they still look good and serve the purpose they were purchased for.The price point on these was right on for the number of coasters you get. Each coaster has 4 felt stickers on the bottom to keep them from scratching surfaces. It would be nice if the entire bottom was covered in felt instead of four small index finger tip sized spots.The coaster holder has no protective bottom and is just coated metal. This may cause scratching over time.Because I am using these on wood I can't give it 5 stars simply due to the under carriage of the coasters and the holder. If more effort was put in to these areas they would 100% be 5 stars.I would recommend them but I would advise caustion if you plan on using them on wood surfaces.

I recently bought the GOH DODD Slate Stone Coasters, and they’ve been a great addition to my home. The coasters are well-made from natural stone and have a nice, rustic look. The steel holder is a nice touch, keeping everything organized. I love that they have soft EVA bumpers on the bottom, which protect my table from scratches and prevent the coasters from sliding around. They work great with all types of glasses and prevent water rings on my furniture. Overall, a stylish and practical set of coasters that's perfect for any home. Highly recommended!

I love this in its metal holder because it is adaptable sitting next to a small art piece looking its companion instead of a set of coasters per se. Because it is a natural product, all the more appealing.
