Nice design. Instructions didn't match the case model though.
This is a nicely designed case and it matches the picture on Amazon. However, the instructions were for a case that had a four-bar symbol for battery strength (four little bars sort of like a wifi strength symbol). Instead, this has a single button on the back that communicates with you by steady light, flashing light, and colors. (Also, the instructions showed a little prop-up lever, but the actual case does not have that.) Again, the Amazon picture is correct, it's the paper instructions that are mismatched. My phone weighs 4.0 oz, my old battery case weight 3.0 and this battery case weighs 3.8 oz, but this new battery case is more powerful at 4000 mA not 2400 mA. The 5SE has a 1625 mA battery, however, remember that you lose a full third of the power when charging, a 4000 mA battery will NOT charge a 1625 battery 2.5x! More like 1.5X. It's just chemistry and physics, it's not the brand. After charging the case, the light should be solid white (you might call it solid pale blue). When you put your phone inside, you tap briefly to start the phone charging. (I made the mistake of holding down the button, which doesn't work). To turn off a charging cycle, you do hold down the button for two seconds. The instructions say that if you put the case and phone together and plug in, the case charges first unless you push the button, in which case, the phone charges first. It's nice the case takes a standard Lightning socket that matches the phone, and that there's no extension of the case below the phone like older models.Case design: Most earbud jacks should fit through this case without a skinny extender, one pair of mine does fit and one does not quite fit. The control buttons (like volume) work well through this case. This case is strong but it is flush with the glass phone screen (on a 5SE), I would prefer the edges were a little raised to protect the screen in a face down fall, but they are not.

No reviews had me scared. Glad I purchased!
This GREATLY extends the battery life of the iPhone SE. Works seamlessly. Fits perfectly. It's not the greatest case for protection but that's not what I got it for. Installing or removing the phone only takes 2 seconds (literally!) so it's perfect if you wana throw your phone in it real quick if you think you'll be away from a charger for a while. I use a primary case that my phone snaps into almost as quickly as this one. When I know I'm gonna need some extra juice, switching them out is very quick and easy. I tested it out and was able to use my phone for about 2 and a half days before charging anything back up. Under heavy usage like 3d gaming (which kills the SE's battery life) that will be much less of course and probably more closer to a full 24 hour period. Maybe? I'm very satisfied though.

It does take getting used to
This is to replace my earlier comments on the RUNSY battery case for my iPhone SE, which were based on an example that was apparently defective (or else I was). Either way, the company Roger Electronics, went beyond what anyone would expect in putting things right, and as a result I have a specimen that works perfectly.Physically, this is a great protective case but for one shortcoming: it has no lip around the screen, leaving the screen more vulnerable than I'd like. Rubbery cases usually have enough of a lip that one may safely place the phone face-down on flat surfaces. The RUNSY case has no such lip, which to me is an unfortunate oversight. Otherwise, it is a sturdy and protective case, just what I was looking for.Operation of the battery case is slightly complicated, and the obstructions are a little obscure, focusing on the colors and blinkiness of the LED power button rather than its functions. Roger Electronics support clarified things for me, which I will repeat here because I think it will be of use to others:"If you charge the battery case with the phone installed while plugged in, you need to press the power button on the back of the battery case. The phone will be charged after you press the power button. The battery case will be charged next after the phone is fully charged. The charging time for the phone is 2 hours. The charging time for the battery case is 5.5 hours. It will take 7.5 hours for both of them to be fully charged in one cycle." In my experience, it is good to look at the phone and make sure the green charging indicator has come on, and if it hasn't, press the power button on the case again."If you don't press the power button while plugged in, only the battery case will be charged."This has resulted in a change in the way I do things, and points to one potential shortcoming in the case's operation. My practice has been to plug in the phone at the end of the day, and awaken come morning to a phone charged 100 percent. With the case, I plug it in, push the button to charge the phone then the battery case, and awaken in the morning to a phone that's ~65 percent charged. The reason is that after the phone is charged (to ~95 percent; the case seems reluctant to take it to 100 percent), it switches to charging the case's own battery. The phone, on all night but no longer charging, runs down as normal. So the first thing I need to do in the morning is push the button again to top off the phone before heading out for the day.It seems to me that it might have been better to charge the case first, then the phone, leaving it on trickle charge in the way the Apple charger customarily does, so one awakens to a fully charged case and a fully charged phone. There may have been technical reasons why this isn't possible, but I'd prefer it that way and I think that that's the way most people expect it to work. Getting used to it working as it does is not overly burdensome, but it's a little annoying at first. And, of course, it's of relatively little concern, in that a 65 percent charged battery is easily remedied by pushing the button and topping off the phone from the battery in the case. It may be that only sticklers like me, who like to have everything as charged as it can be before I set out, will mind at all.The case does make the phone heavier, which is no surprise. A pleasant surprise is that even with the case attached the phone fits nicely in the normal-sized (and excellent) Turtleback holster, which does protect the screen.I would give the RUNSY battery case four and a half stars, but that's not among the choices. It is very good, though one does have to get used to how it works, which may not be as you expected.

The best iPhone SE battery case available
I love this thing. My phone previously would only last for about half the work day with regular usage. With the Runsy case, I can go about two full days without having to worry about it.Admittedly, it does make the phone quite a bit thicker - I'd guess about 1/4" or so. However, the case is still fairly slim and has a nice, smooth rubbery feel that still glides into a pocket easily. The light color and charging situation takes some getting used to - you're in control of whether the case or your phone is currently receiving a charge, so as others have said, it can result in waking up with a fully-charged case but a half-dead phone. I normally just hit the button on the case as soon as I wake up to start refilling the phone itself.Better design and fit than pretty much any other SE battery case out there. Can't go wrong.

RUNSY iPhone cases are the best. So happy with this!
I really love the product. It fits my phone very well and works with my car USB. I really like how the charge port is lightning to USB. I had “Mophie” battery case before and it was a low quality Micro-USB and it would always fail to work properly.Another reason this case is better than “Mophie” or other battery cases, is that when your phone is done being charged to 100%, it will stop charging whether using the battery itself, or when using the USB. This way it will extend the life of your phone’s original battery!I would like to get another battery case for iPhone SE from Roger Electronics given the opportunity. I really like the quality. It feels nice in my hand and is made of nice material. I do not want to use any other battery case, as they overcharge my phone from experience. Roger Electronics is the best! It is a 5-star product.

Excellent customer service
Product was as advertised, works well, and allows my phone to last from 0500 hrs until 2100 hrs with no issues. It seems to provide two full charges. My only issue is that when you plug it in to charge the phone, and the phone is fully charged, the phone battery will slowly lose its charge as the case does not have the ability to keep it fully charged automatically. This is easily resolved by pushing the charge button in the morning, and by the time you are ready to leave the house the phone will be fully charged again. All in all, you get what you pay for, some quality control issues in that I had to return two units as they were defective, the third one they sent me works perfect. The customer service was definitely 5 star.

Great to use after you figure it out
Pros: LOTS (several days) of battery life. Fits perfectly (and is easy to put oin and off if you need to). Comfortable to hold. Feels heavy at first, but that stops being noticeable quickly.Cons: Incredibly unclear and poorly written instructions. In the end, though, it's just this simple: Plugging it in charges the battery case. Push the button to charge the phone. The lights change colour to show the battery case's charge level, and flash when charging.Mine got sick not long after warranty period ended, but the vendor was great and quickly provided a replacement.

Broken hearted.
Took it out of the box, slapped the phone in it, and that was it. Seems like the lightning plug doesn’t connect. No charge no sync. Didn’t even get one cycle out of. Absolute rubbish. Instructions look like they were written while simultaneously pouring gasoline and burning down their warehouse for insurance money. Speaking of money..... I want mine back.

Longevity
It did do well for what it was advertised to do until around 6 months of use, before the battery showed noticeable performance degradation in that it wouldn't charge a phone as much as it use too when new. In less than a year (around the 7th month), eventually the battery case lost its charge and is now just a heavy phone case.
