Like many reviewers stated, the male’s head comes off upon demolding, but taking the advice of one reviewer to put it in the freezer for one hour before demolding really works. Other than that, it’s a fantastic product that makes beautiful candles.

I was a little bit skeptical about purchasing this set based on previous reviews. However, I read all the comments and did a little research.As you can see by my pictures, they set perfectly and nothing broke off. I read in the reviews that the males head was consistently breaking off. If you’re using a straight soy wax pour it may not work as well because soy is softer. I researched and found that a 3:1 ratio (soy:beeswax) would make a stronger candle and it worked perfectly. Secondly I used a mold release spray to help make sure everything came out easily and it worked. *my candles lean because I have not trimmed my excess wick off the bottom yet. It is not the mold*TLDR:1- the molds are fine. They work as intended.2- add 9 oz soy and 3 ounce beeswax blend to melt.3- use mold release spray to ensure nothing sticks.4- Use the binder clips that come with the mold.5- I did not use mold seal on the wick and had no issue with wax leakage because I used the tool included to make the hole.6- allow several hours for hardening before opening the molds.

Great product! BIG TIP: no matter how soft your wax is (I use really soft wax), pop the male one in the freezer for about an hour before demolding it. As soon as you take it out, then demold it. It makes the was harder and the head doesn’t break off! Thank me later!

using these to make candles, the female mold comes out perfect. The male however every single time the neck breaks when I’m pulling him out of the mold. I’m giving it 3 stars because the female mold works perfect.** Edit to add I have had some success with the make after messing with my wax ratios, so I’m updating it to 4 stars.

If you're using Beeswax or Soy, the male mold is not going to work out for you. It will break, during cooling and/or demolding. The female mold is fine, which is why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1.

Wow DON'T BUY!! Dont waste your money! The female candle mold works wonders the male however NEVER comes out with the head due to manufacture and how the mold made the male figures head will always break off no fix unless I want to cut the mold and risk leaking wax everywhere. All in all a waste of my money bc this was planned for conjure love and seperation candle sets smh.
