Titan 63004 3lb cross peen

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this ball pein hammer. I needed a smaller one and chose this one for its price. I now want to get all the other sizes so they match. The handle is extremely comfortable and the design is clean and visually appealing.

These hammers are exactly what you need. A variety. They are strong, quality made hammers. Used them for auto repairs, removing front end parts, stuck brake rotors and whatever else needs a bit of persuasion. Great quality for a great price.

I use this for "percussively adjusting" new rack installations in data centers, woodworking, etc. Nice to have this beast around instead of a foot or a fist.

Four out of five were great. The one I really needed, the Cross Peen hammer had issues on both sides. I had to sand down the hammer's face as it had a noticeable wave and indentation in it that would have made it useless for making knives. On the peen section of the hammer, the bottom corners of each side of the face are not formed all the way, and look as though the bottom corners were cut away at a 45 degree angle. I was able to sand the one side out most of the way to make it almost square, but the other side is too deep, with too much metal missing in the bottom corner, and looks like the side of a hexagon instead of a rectangle when looking only at the face. I cannot sand away enough metal to make it square, as too much of the corner is missing and it would make the face too wide to remove that much metal. It is still usable, and having to sand the face of a new hammer is somewhat standard nowadays anyways. Would have given 5 stars if the peen was formed correctly or able to be fixed with a little sanding.

I bought these because they looked so good at a very reasonable price. Paid 51 and noticed the price increased to 64. Still worth it. Very impressed.

This is a good hammer. I keep one in the truck for everyday use.

I've been using this mallet for a couple weeks now and I'm very pleased with it. Some of the pounding I've been doing is on the end of 6" PVC to drive it into fittings. The mallet has stood up well to the abuse of using it on the thin piece of stiff material on the end of the pipes. I would buy this again.

Love the rubber mallet for home uses.
