I bought this to make my Mother's kielbasi recipe; it called for salt peter, and I ordered this brand because I could order a small amount -- didn't know if the recipe would work out or not. Even though I made the kielbasi in patties instead of links, IT WAS SUPERB!! So thank you Bolners!!

Worked great for what I needed it for
I used it so that I could smoke my sausages. First time ever doing my own sausage. It makes it pink but I googled that it was normal. It didn’t change the flavor. I’m satisfied. Would buy again

Stuff works awesome for the jerky I made. It didn't take much to do the job. This stuff really has a way of toning down the wild flavor of venison and elk.Will be buying again.

Good product for home use
The amount of curing salt per bottle is about right for home use. A lot of jerky and sausage recipes call for about 1/4 teaspoon per pound of meat, so a small bottle goes a LONG way. Price is reasonable.

convenient for small batches
I used this to make pastrami from a four pound chuck roast. The meat was wet cured for one week and smoked for eight hours. The pastrami was a deep red in color and the best part was the taste - delicious!
