Love this marking knife. Very sharp. I like that I can use it with or without scales. I will probably try adding my own since it comes with the brass rivers to add them which is also a nice touch. I have other DFM tools and they are all extremely well made.

This thing is sharp right out of the packaging. I haven't sharpened it yet, but a good Nicholson file doesn't seem to hurt the non-business end. Comes with three brass rivets to attach scales for it. Happy to purchase a quality product made in the USA from a small business owner.

This sucker comes nice and sharp. mine was flawless. I'm a big fan of these newer powdered metals (cpm-3v, s30v, pmv-11) so this was a must for me. 10v is one of the harder ones, so be prepared to sharpen with appropriate sharpening gear. I haven't sharpened it yet, but my shapton ceramics should be able to handle it with a little extra time spent.**Edit- Added some pictures of the knife with padauk handles

Well made steel marking knife with an edge good enough as is. Rivets included so you can install a nice wood handle.

Super sharp right out of the box, I haven't needed to hone it after weeks of use. It is a huge improvement over my previous marking knife that would dent the blade even when marking in a softwood. And these guys are made by a small business in the US, it's a win all the way round.
